Kapitel 203: A Little Harmless Fun
(3rd Person POV)
'This-This Pressure?!?!' Shinobu gritted her teeth and began to sweat as her hand trembled while holding onto the hilt of her blade to which she had no strength to pull it out of its sheathe.
"Hooooh? What strong will power you have, anyone else that felt that would have fallen unconscious by now." He says in his now clearly demonic sounding voice as his smile became more pronounced with his lips no longer being there as his face had turned into an evil skull shaped shadow.
"While I did say divine providence lead us to saving your sister, I didn't say what we were doing was free now did I?" He said as he raised his arm as it slowly was covered in darkness as his fingers became claws before lifting his arm towards her.
Shinobu could only grit her teeth as she couldn't even get herself to pull her blade out as she saw his clawed hand slowly approach her face.
"There's always a price, and seeing your sister is in no shape to pay, you must pay the price." He said as his hand slowly creeped towards her as she couldn't move from the pressure weighing her down as her heart was beating a mile a minute.
"And your blood shall pay th-"
*Smack* (Mikan)
"…." (Shinobu)
"….. And your bl-" (Hifumi)
*Smack* (Mikan)
"…."
".. An-" (Hifumi)
*Smack* (Mikan)
"…. Mikan-san…." Hifumi turned to Mikan after having his arm smacked away for the third time.
"Hmmm? What is it? Am I getting in the way of your fun?" She said with a closed eyed smile that didn't really seem like a smile.
"… Yes?" He said scratching the back of his head as he slowly returned to his original form.
"Hifumi it's fine to play pranks to scare people, but I draw the line when you start to genuinely terrify someone for your own amusement." She said before crossing her arms under her breasts while giving him a stern look while Shinobu was looking confused as to what is happening right now.
"Mikan, shall I come back there and begin preparations for operating on Hifumi's brain?" Florence said to which Hifumi began to sweat even more from hearing that.
"Alright fine! That joke was in poor taste alright! Shinobu I'm sorry! If it makes you feel better you can stab me with your sword if you want!" He said before closing his eyes, clasping his hands in prayer above his head before bowing his head towards the confused but slowly getting pissed Shinobu.
"HAAAA?!?! You were just messing around with me?! Wait that's not the point! You really are a monster then I-" She says as she angrily pulls out her sword getting ready to strike but-
"Hehe…. It's fun watching you be so active Shinobu…." Kanae had woken up a little bit into the whole charade that Hifumi was playing which made Shinobu stop and put her weapon away before getting off her seat and kneeling by her sister.
"Nee-chan! Please, you should get some rest! I'll put this idiot in his place for messing with me!" Shinobu said before turning towards Gifumi with her eyes glowing red as she began to pull out her stinger shaped sword.
"Hehe, don't mind it Shinobu…. I know it was all in good fun, after all I never woke up when he started doing that, and you should know how sensitive I am to sensing bloodlust, he was just teasing you is all and I can't blame him since your to easy to tease." Kanae said while looking at her sister and smiling gently at her.
"Your really something you know that? The anesthesia we gave you should have kept you out for the rest of the day." Hifumi said as he knelt down by Kanae as well, ignoring the piercing stare that Shinobu was giving him since she was still irritated.
"Hehe….. I Am a Hashira of the Demon Slayer Corps. After all…. Though after this…. I don't know if I can stay a demon slayer anymore…." Kanae said sadly as being brought this close to death had made her more than anything to want to live her life normally and give up the blade, find a man and make a family.
"Nee-chan…." Shinobu said sadly as well as she held her older sisters hand, even though they made a promise to get rid of all demons after the deaths of their parents, she understood why her sister would want to give up after just barely being pulled back from the jaws of death.
"It's probably not my place to say this, but I don't think giving up being a demon slayer is a great idea, I mean there's nothing wrong with wanting to live a normal life but whatever demon hurt you might hunt you down if it finds out you still live and try to devour you, staying with the Demon Slayers will keep you safer in the long run since demons have no clue of where your building are located currently." He said giving his thoughts on it, giving up the blade to live as a normal person is fine and all but that doesn't matter if there is some demon that will hunt you down when given the chance.
"Hmmm…. You have a point…. But how long will it take to defeat him? I don't know his name but he is definitely one of the upper moons." Kanae said as she remembered his looks and more specifically his eyes, both having the Kanji for Upper Rank 2 etched into his eyeballs.
(Hifumi POV)
"Could you describe him for me? Better yet did you see his rank on his eyes since you fought him? Because I do have intricate knowledge on the Twelve Kizuki thanks to my prophecy's I have seen over the years since moving abroad." I said since I couldn't tell them the real truth as of yet.
"Yes…. He had Upper Moon 2 etched into his eyes…. His eyes were a rather beautiful rainbow color…. But there was nothing in those eyes as they appeared to be dull and empty when I saw them…." Kanae said after remembering the look in his eyes after the battle with him.
"Upper moon 2…." Shinobu said as she clasped her blade tightly in anger while I scratched me chin.
"Oh him, you really caught the eyes of a real piece of shit now haven't you? Upper Moon 2, Doma is his name, and from what I know he has a penchant specifically to hunt down and kill only beautiful women and eat them specifically, and just kill anything else that isn't beautiful as he hates ugly things, your lucky that the sun was coming up or else you would have survived as he would have enjoyed having his time with you." I said summarizing up what that asshole was like.
"Well this wasn't originally a part of the plan, after all we are just here to save your life and that's it, but now it will leave a real bad taste in my mouth if we just leave after you get healed up in a few months." I say with a bit of a sigh as I turn to stretch and crack my neck as I smiled at something I just remembered that Monokuma mentioned to me in passing a few days after he joined up with us.
*flashback*
"Oh by the way Hifumi, before I left for this world I might have messed with your system a little bit and unlocked something for you, so you might get a kick out of it when you need it." He said casually while drinking a glass of red wine.
"What did you do?" I looked at him suspiciously as he twirled his wine glass.
"Look at your summoning system and you'll find out."
*Flashback End*
"Looks like I'll have to help hunt down Doma to keep you safe, and don't worry I have some plans in mind." I say as I have Fortunate Son, who I had with me before leaving for this world, spin the summoning wheel for me.
After all now I can summon anyone and anything from any world or story to my side to provide me aid as I watched the wheel of worlds spin before stopping and beginning to spin again on characters in said world before stopping as I opened my eyes when I got all the information of my new summon poured into my head about who they are and how strong they are.
'Now this…. This is a real game changer…. Right? Changeling?'
