Her heart raced fast and knotted in conflicting emotions. With muddled thoughts, her eyes swept the room and halted upon seeing the door, just behind the glass display where Dimitri hit his forehead. Because the glass was clear, she was able to notice it, but not long after her sight landed on the door, she noticed the red liquid dribbling down from the cracks in the glass, making her heart skip a beat.

He's a despicable villain. He kidnapped you, held you against your will, and even captured Ryett. He doesn't deserve your sympathy...

She recited in her head, averting her eyes away, as she lifted her steps towards the left edges of the large glass display.

Just after a few seconds, her feet bumped into something. She froze, knowing below her was Dimitri's unconscious body filled with bloody cuts and wounds. Her feet rooted on the spot as if they were melded on the floor.
