Kapitel 15: Chapter 15: The Customer Isn't Always Right

I had a raging headache, and it wasn’t from the shit sleep from the night before. No crazy nightmares, but it was just an infinite amount of time tossing and turning. The alarm went off that morning, and I groaned into the pillow, wishing I didn’t have to go in.

But I did. Because Nina called out. Again.

It didn't bother me before when Nina and Paul called out. It meant more for me in tips. But I was tired, and the headache was trying to take over my entire skull after only ten minutes into the shift.

Kaitlyn and I opened together that morning as we always did, and it had been a few hours of normal work. But things had changed in the last hour.

Sitting in my section at the bar was a group of three guys who, I swear, had made it their mission to make this day much harder. It was dead in the bar, and these men were screaming.

I wish I were kidding.

It was only two in the afternoon, and I was stuck with three imbeciles.
