Kapitel 27: Rematch with Achilles

Persephone entered the deepest chamber of the castle. She hadn't seen her husband leave the room for the past few days at all.
"Are you still watching him, dear?" She walked behind Hades and hugged him with a sigh.
Hades' gaze was fixed at the screen which showed Noah fighting against Achilles.
When Hades didn't answer, Persephone continued, "Is he the one who came from the Nine realms? But his soul feels different."
Hades opened his mouth, "A few months ago, millions of foreign souls suddenly appeared in Midgard. He is one of them."
"So he is under the jurisdiction of those Aesir gods. That doesn't explain why you are interested in him."
At that moment the screen displayed Noah activating Sage Heal.
Persephone pupils shook, " 'Sage Heal'? Why can he use that spell? Is that child related to 'him'?"
A realization dawned upon Persephone.
"Is that why you are watching him?"
She saw Achilles and spoke, "It seems he will die soon. We can meet him then."

Cough! Cough!
The system alerts woke Noah up. Noah coughed a mouthful of blood. His limbs were twisted, lungs punctured and he couldn't feel half of his body.
Noah was lying in the middle of what was left of Nelio's castle. Achilles' arrow had nearly killed him even though the robe of protection mitigated most of the power behind his attack.
[ Cooldown of skill Sage Heal has ended ]
Noah opened his mouth to activate the skill. He realized his windpipe was crushed, he couldn't speak.
[ Alert! Your HP has fallen below 3% ]
Noah moved his twisted limbs. He could see his bones peeking through his flesh as he joined his palms.
Manual Activation: Sage Heal
Sizzzle!
"Haaah! Haah! Haah!"
Noah sucked in a sharp breath. A burning pain flared through his whole body as his injuries healed at a rate visible to the naked eye.
"Ca…can I win?" Noah puked blood as he tried to speak. His face twisted as his bones readjusted themselves to heal his body.
{Child…}
Hepius was at a loss for words. Earlier Noah cut the connection between him and Cecilia when he was hit by Achilles. It was because his sense of pain was transferred to her through their connection while it was active.
It was clear to whom Noah's question was directed.
"Then shall we make a bet?"
Hepius' eyes widened when Noah jumped to his feet and walked towards a location from where he could see Achilles.
"If I win you'll call me master."
{What are you trying to do?}
"Looking for a source of motivation?"
Noah chuckled. However, his eyes were serious. It wasn't possible to outrun Achilles.
How did Achilles return early?
The question didn't matter. Noah had to defeat Achilles if he wanted to live.
Hepius covered his face and spoke wearily, {If you lose I'll start calling you 'roach'.}
From the top of the hill, Noah saw Achilles knocking three arrows while aiming at him. The air twisted around the undying warrior who was covered in silver aura.
"Sounds good to me." Noah grinned.
He kicked the ground and dashed towards Achilles.
[ Achilles has activated skill 'Child of Stars' ]
[ Achilles is activating skill 'Saggitarius Arrow' ]
"Add all AP into Movement Speed."
[ Movement Speed: 430 → 500 ]

[ Activating skill 'Chains of Condemnation'. Judging sinner 'Noah' ]

[ Canceling debuff. Increasing your stats, skills and abilities by 150% ]
BAAAAAAMMM!!!
Noah disappeared from Achilles' vision. Just as Achilles released the arrows, Noah kicked his abdomen and smashed him through several buildings.
The wreckage around Achilles trembled and shot into the air. Noah dropped them at Achilles with Gravity Manipulation.
Achilles' arm blurred and he shot multiple arrows almost instantly. The wreckage burst. However, Achilles vigilantly scanned his surroundings, searching for Noah.
"He is too fast. I need t–!?"
"On your left."
Achilles reacted to the voice and turned to the left when a sudden force struck him from the right.
His body shot back like a rag doll.
"Chains of Condemnation"
Chains erupted through the ground and bound Achilles.
[ Judging sinner 'Achilles' ]
[ Achilles has been judged as 'Lawful Good'. His stats, skills and abilities will increase by 150%. ]
[ Activating Genius Psychopath. Inversing skill Chains of Condemnation. ]
[ Alert! Chains of Condemnation has been countered by 'Invulnerable'. Your skill has failed. ]
The chains burst.
Before Noah could attack again, the silver aura around Achilles flared and he flew into the air.
"I'll admit. You are faster than me." Achilles spoke while looking down on Noah.
[ Achilles is reducing the duration of skill 'Child of Stars' by 2 hours. Skill 'Sagittus Arrow' will be strengthened. ]
The silver aura covering Achilles swole and covered the sky. Hundreds of silver arrows condensed in the sky, all pointing at the ground.
"But can you dodge all of this?"
[ Achilles Lvl.95 (HP: 300,100/300,100) ]
"Well, I'll be damned," Noah muttered. Despite his earlier attacks, Achilles was perfectly fine.
And then the sky fell.
Hundreds of arrows rained.
Noah grabbed the rubble lying around with Gravity Manipulation and erected a wall overhead as he ran to dodge the deadly rain.
The arrows burst upon touching a surface. Countless explosions erupted, shaking the entire city.
Noah repeatedly activated Sage Heal. His skin burned from the intense heat while he continued to erect more walls.
{Child, do you have a plan?} Hepius asked urgently.
"I… do…"
The innermost city surrounded by the first ring of border walls was almost decimated by Achilles.
Noah could see a straight path leading towards the wall.
"It's beating Achilles until he is defeated."
Noah crouched and condensed divinity in his legs. He activated Battle Concentration to its maximum output, enough that the arrows almost came to a halt.
'More. It's not enough.'
He filled his muscles with divinity.
'More.'
Condensed the divinity further.
'More'
Until a subtle aura started leaking out of him.
"But I need to drag Achilles down first."
BAAAAAAAMMMMM!!!
Noah disappeared and the ground below his feet shattered. He suddenly appeared next to the first border wall.
[ Skill 'Instant Acceleration' learned ]
In the next instant, the path connecting Noah's current and previous location exploded from the air rushing in to fill the void created by his extremely fast movements.
Swish! Swish! Swish!
The arrows changed their direction and attacked Noah.
Noah activated Instant Acceleration and appeared on top of the border walls.
"He is here!"
"Aim at him!"
"Shoot the Arrow Cannons!"
The soldiers on the wall aimed the arrow artilleries at Noah. However, Noah's gaze remained fixed at Achilles who was floating in the sky.
Noah's lips curled and mocked Achilles, "Why did you stop? Are you afraid your soldiers will be dragged in the crossfire?"
The soldiers evacuated from the first layer of border walls were gathered inside the second layer along with soldiers from the third layer.
Noah jumped off the walls amidst them.
"You coward."
Blood dripped from Achilles' lips as he clenched his jaws. He had no choice but to fight at close range if wanted to avoid killing his own side.
