Kapitel 11: Into the demon's Den

POV Ron:

The fire flickered in the fireplace as the two boys sat in the Gryffindor common room in soft chairs with more students relaxing around them. The harmonic and tired atmosphere after the first school day made him jawn.

'I am so tired...'

"You should stay away from her, Ron." Harry, his best friend, spoke with palpable worry.

"Why, she seems nice. Even my brothers like to do some pranks and they aren't bad people!"

"Look, there is something wrong about her."

Ron tried to reminisce about her, but aside from the single prank, he found nothing wrong with her. She was just a sweet girl, bullied by Slytherin and with more money than her brains.

'Hopefully, she will fulfill her promise and give me my gold tomorrow!'

He shook his head, "No, she isn't, she was even offered me compensation! One backed by contract!"

For the first time, Hermione turned their attention to them, her face slightly pale, "Ron, please tell me you didn't sign any paper she gave you?"

"I-I did? So what!"

Hermione stood up and, with visible worry, wobbled toward him, "Do you even realize what she is?!"

"Eh, some rich girl?" This time Harry spoke, both boys staring in shock, not understanding what got into her.

"No, she is the evil incarnate! Harry, I don't know how you didn't also notice it as you grew up in a muggle family too. Stories about her family are part of a religion and mythology."

"What are you talking about?"

The two boys looked at her as her fear infected them, too, creeping into their minds.

'Now that I think about it, something is really off about her.'

"Lucifer Morningstar... I am sure he is her father and that makes her... a demon."

"How are you so su..."

Hermione didn't even let Harry finish his sentence as she screamed so loudly that everyone in the common room stared at her, "Quiet down, you probably don't even realize the danger. Her father is the devil! Everything is pointing towards it!"

The situation reached him, and he paled too as he heard about demons, but he considered them to be only myths and stories to scare small kids, and now a doubt crept into his mind, refusing to leave, "So, what about what I signed?!"

"Demons, are stealing souls through their contracts. She probably owns you for eternity now."

Harry was first to react as he jumped onto his feet, rushing straight to the exit, "Come on! We have to find her and save Ron."

"I heard rumors, so I probably know where to find her."

POV Lumina:

The young girl strode down the long corridor leading to the common room. Her eyes blazed with a slight annoyance. Only her black cloak covering her pajama, the red toches lightning up to show her path.

Her bare foot clapped on the smooth and cold black marble floor.

The small stone gargoyle followed in her steps, its ruby eyes shining in the darkness, its voice murmuring the same message repeatedly.

"My lady, there are visitors waiting outside!"

"I already heard that. Be quiet already." Lumina fumed as she was tired and wanted to get some rest, but someone had to come and bother her in the evening.

'At least now I know why it is so clean here, even with the house elves not able to come here.' Her house was still filled with mysteries, and only now she discovered hidden gargoyle servants were taking care of it.

At last, she stopped before the walled-off door frame, filled with solid stone bricks. Her slender hand touched the cold stone, and with a rumbling, the wall slid to the side, revealing the trio before her.

"Give back Ron's soul, demon!"

'Was I too greedy for that contract? Will these three now bother me over it?'

POV Harry:

With fear, Harry stared at the girl standing right before him. His heart was beating with adrenaline pumping through his veins.

He couldn't move his eyes away from her, as if scared she would move and crush him like a bug if he didn't look at her for even a moment. Even though before him was nothing but a barefooted, petite girl of his age, he instead felt like he was staring at a deadly and hungry predator just waiting to pounce at him.

Yet, he refused to relent as his friend was in danger.

"Give us back his soul or I will tell on you!"

The demonic girl stared at him, "Tell on me? That is the most childish and pathetic threat I have ever heard of." He couldn't help but take a step back as he could swear her eyes momentarily flashed in the red light of disdain and ridicule.

"I didn't take his soul. I am a fair trader." With a clanging and ringing noise, golden galleons fell on the bare stone floor, rolling down the dark corridor.

"Here, your gold."

The bushy girl pushed back the savior and instead took the lead, "Don't lie, I know what you are and I know your kind tricks innocents of their souls!"

"And, what do you think I am?" As if reacting to her words, the shadows deepened, a heavy atmosphere of dread fell upon them, and their bodies froze.

Harry wanted to grab his wand, but his hand didn't even more, the scar on his temple burning in pain.
