Xia Lihua was quietly standing in front of director Du Li's room.
"Come in."
Xia Lihua sighed.
She knew this was coming.
"Yes, sir?"
Director Du, a serious and sensible-looking man, regarded Xia Lihua with a measured gaze.
Xia Lihua's indifferent composure, tinged with nonchalance and a hint of distance, didn't seem to faze him.
"Xia Lihua," he began, his tone firm yet not unkind, "I've been informed about the ongoing rumours involving you. The public perception has taken a toll on the show's image. We need to consider the bigger picture."
Her eyes met his, her expression unyielding. "So, what do you propose?"
Director Du leaned back in his chair, his fingers steepled in front of him. "We've been brainstorming ways to address the situation...Unfortunately, due to the overwhelming negativity surrounding the show, I regret to inform you that you will have to withdraw. I'll send an order to your company's representative."
