Kapitel 124: Deal With the Disciple

Lyros's grip on my throat had loosened, and I lay gasping on the ground. The party watched in apprehension as the malevolent entity appeared to be struggling with his own thoughts.

"You... You're not Ares," Lyros muttered once more, his voice filled with disbelief.

Feeling my strength return, I couldn't help but retort in frustration, "I... wanted to say that from the beginning, you fuck!"

Lyros took a step back, his malevolent aura wavering as confusion played across his features. 

It was clear that he was reevaluating the situation, and the party rushed to my side, forming a protective circle around me, weapons drawn and magic at the ready.

'I could cry…' I thought as I took in the sight of them, all resolved to fight for me. For a flicker of a moment, it made me feel needed. Safe.
