"I wasn't," he laughed. "But when I thought of losing you to someone else, I realized that all the fear I had was stupid. I would rather risk getting my heart broken than see you walk away from me. I just didn't think I could fall hard for someone like this."

"You don't think that I am… I mean I'm not mature enough?" I asked, not holding back. "Am I not too young for you?"

"You are perfect," he said. "When you are in love, these things do not matter. Trust me, I've been trying to deny it for a long time but now I can't help it. You have completely taken over my mind."

"But…" I stumbled, still feeling like I was in a dream, and someone was going to wake me up any second.

"Kathy," he chuckled, bringing his face closer to mine. "I think you need to stop talking now."
