His mind swirling with all sorts of thoughts about what was coming in the future, Sam stood there with his compatriots, letting the salty breeze from the coast ruffle his hair. As he had expected, there was not much to be done on this side. 

Things had progressed just as he expected them to and that was for them to end up on the Beast Horde's side. The Dragons, Holy Dogs, Ants, and other Beasts were making light work of the injured Reptilians, shredding them and turning them to mush.

It was somewhat disturbing just how efficient they were and just how much stronger they became after all this time. This was probably going to make them even stronger too… As long as they survived it. Was that part of Midas' plans as well?
