Kapitel 250: Chapter 251: Thor: What Did I Do to Deserve a Nuclear Bomb?

"This isn't a rhetorical question, they haven't forgotten." Before Bucky Barnes could answer, Sam Wilson chimed in, "I know why you care about this, but come on, you're getting obsessed."

"Sam, we don't know where they got the serum from, we don't know how many of them there are." Bucky Barnes stuck to his stance and tried to convince Sam Wilson, "Let me give you a hypothetical situation, can I at least share a hypothetical situation with you?"

"What did you do?" Sam Wilson had a sense of foreboding.

"I didn't do anything." Bucky Barnes quickly denied, then continued, "The weakest point of any system isn't the software or hardware, it's the biological component, the human factor. In this prison, the ratio of inmates to guards is 9:1. If two inmates start a fight, according to regulations, four guards need to respond."

"Why did two inmates happen to start a fight at that moment?" Sam Wilson asked.

"Who knows, there could be many reasons." Bucky Barnes said, "The point is, these things escalate, so the lockdown protocol has to be initiated. With so many people causing chaos, they could easily slip through a corridor or two. If a fire alarm is triggered during the separation of inmates, someone could take advantage of the chaos."

"I don't like how casually you're talking about this, it's not natural..." Sam Wilson suddenly realized something was off and quickly asked, "Where are we?"

Click!

Just as he spoke, the sound of a door opening came from beside, and then Zemo's figure appeared.

"How did you get here?" Sam Wilson was taken aback.

"I didn't tell you because I knew you wouldn't agree, okay?" Bucky Barnes hurriedly explained as he stepped forward.

"What did you do?" Sam Wilson shouted.

"We need him, Sam." Bucky Barnes said.

"Get back into the prison!" Sam Wilson told Zemo, who was standing on the side.

"Allow me to say..." Zemo had just started speaking when both Bucky Barnes and Sam Wilson rebuked him in unison, "No!"

"I apologize." Zemo weakly said.

"Steve refused to sign the Sokovia Accords, and you supported him. You broke the law, you took risks for me." Bucky Barnes said to Sam Wilson, "I'm begging you to do it again."

"I really think I'm valuable." Zemo defended himself on the side.

"Shut up." Sam Wilson said. He paused for a moment and then said somewhat helplessly, "If we do this, no matter what you do, you have to ask for our permission first."

"Fine." Zemo didn't have any objections.

"Alright, Zemo, where do we start?" Sam Wilson asked.

The space dimmed, and the video ended here.

"Do you think Zemo will really investigate this matter obediently?" Scott Lang said, "I really don't think he's a 'good student'."

"I also think Zemo will definitely cause trouble." Natasha Romanoff said in a serious tone, "I can't believe this guy."

"But it seems Bucky trusts him." James Rhodes said, "He was trying hard to persuade Sam to let Zemo help, and he even hid the fact that he assisted Zemo in escaping from Sam."

"No, no, no, I don't trust him." Bucky Barnes immediately denied on the spot, "I did that because there was no other choice at that moment. You've all seen it, Zemo knows where to start the investigation."

"I agree with Bucky's approach." Steve Rogers supported Bucky Barnes, "Compared to the threat of the Super Serum, I'd rather take the consequences of releasing Zemo."

[Begin the ninth question: Who decided to use a nuclear bomb against Thor, the God of Thunder?]

[A. Motherf*er Nick Fury]

[B. Phil Coulson]

[C. Maria Hill]

[D. Sharon Carter]

[Correct answer rewards the "Titanium Alloy Dog Eyes," which can emit intense light, transforming everything within the line of sight into titanium alloy. Incorrect answer deducts one year of lifespan.]

"Use a nuclear bomb against me?" Thor was shocked when he saw this question, "Why would they use a nuclear bomb against me? Aren't I a friend of Earth?"

"It should be a parallel world." Steve Rogers said, "In that parallel world, Thor isn't a friend of Earth, but an enemy."

"Thanos can be a friend, Thor can be an enemy, parallel worlds are really interesting." Tony Stark said, "I suddenly wonder what role I have in a parallel world."

"Maybe a scientist, or a poor guy taking the bus to work." Natasha Romanoff said, "But I think one thing won't change, that is being a playboy."

"Natasha, your logic doesn't hold." Tony Stark said, "Why could I be a playboy? What I mean is, I used to be. That's because I had money. Without money, why would any girl want to go home with you? So if the version of me in that parallel world is really a poor guy taking the bus to work, he definitely isn't a playboy. It's not about whether he wants to be one, it's just that he doesn't have the means."

"I can't agree with you on that, Tin Man." Loki smirked, a mischievous smile on his face, "Even if you don't spend money, I can bring home any girl I want. It's not about money, it's about whether you have that charm."

"Really?" Tony Stark said, "There are two very beautiful ladies here. If you have the guts, invite them and see."

"... " Loki glanced at Wanda Maximoff and Natasha Romanoff, then shifted the topic, "Although I don't know who the answer to this question is, no matter who that person is, I want to say to them, well done! To deal with someone as annoying as Thor, you need a nuclear bomb to welcome him!"

"Loki, are you trying to kill me?" Thor was about to lose it, "I can't withstand a nuclear bomb!"

"So regardless of who made the decision, they did it with the intention of killing you." Stephen Strange said to Thor, "In that parallel version of you, what did you do to Earth?"

"You wouldn't have led an alien invasion like Loki did, would you?" Clint Barton asked.

"How could I ever do something like invading?" Thor said.

"But we were planning to use a nuclear bomb against you, and you've been aware of what a nuclear bomb is for a long time. We wouldn't use it for just any ordinary threat." Nick Fury said, "The version of you in that parallel world must have brought an apocalyptic-level crisis to Earth."

"Why is it assumed that the version of me in the parallel world is evil? Can't the options be evil?" Thor said with a reverse perspective, "I'm a great hero of Earth. The villains want to destroy Earth by eliminating me, but I'm too powerful for that. So they resort to attacking me with a nuclear bomb. The four people in the options are villains, right? It's possible, isn't it?"

"Thor's right. If there's a possibility that Thor is a villain in that parallel world, then there's a possibility that the options are villains, too, and we can't rule that out." Steve Rogers said.

"So this question can't be analyzed at all." Nick Fury said, "It's too divergent from our world, and we can't reference our world."

"We can only guess randomly." Thor said to Nick Fury and Phil Coulson, "I don't really need this reward. I won't answer. See who needs it."

"Anything related to eyes, sir, I think is very suitable for you." Phil Coulson said.

"Why is anything related to eyes suitable for me?" Nick Fury asked.

"Because your eyes are unique."

"Unique?"

"Definitely unique." Tony Stark said, "After all, you have an eye that's been scratched by a cat. There can't be many eyes as special as yours in the whole world."

"Wow, with Iron Man's explanation, I think the Monobrow suits Egghead very well." Loki became interested, "Scratched by a cat, dog eyes, look, cat and dog, quite a match."

"Both of you, shut up." Nick Fury's eyes glinted with wisdom, "If we look at it according to our world, people in options B, C, and D are my subordinates, and they don't have the authority or access to nuclear bombs. As a last resort, even if they can access them, they all follow my orders and wouldn't launch them without my command."

"But we don't know if they're still your subordinates in that world." Tony Stark said.

"A nuclear bomb, the kind that kills a thousand enemies and damages oneself by eight hundred. Unless it's absolutely necessary, I won't use it." Nick Fury said, "But if things really become irreparable, I'm not a soft-hearted person. I choose myself. I choose A!"

[Answer incorrect! One year of lifespan deducted!]

The incorrect answer means the Titanium Alloy Dog Eyes remain out of reach.

There's nothing much to discuss about this question, since it's all guessing. The group bickered while waiting for the video in the answering space to play.

"Loki, look, a shooting star! Make a wish quickly!" As the video started, Thor pointed to the sky and said to Loki.

However, this Loki was quite surprising. He was different from the Loki in the answering space, instead being a two-meter-tall giant with blue skin.

"Yes, a shooting star. Okay, I wish..." Loki started making a wish.

"What's your wish? Tell me." Thor eagerly asked from the side.

"How can I tell you? It won't come true if I say it out loud." Loki said.

Swoosh!

The shooting star flew beside Thor.

It wasn't a shooting star at all, but a woman, a shining woman.

"Hey, White Snake, we need to talk." Carol Danvers floated in the air and said to Thor.

"My name is Thor, spelled T, R, O, H, not in that order of course." Thor introduced himself.

"Nice party you threw." Carol Danvers said.

"Isn't it the best?" Thor said, "I was hoping my Frost Brothers would come, but Loki actually showed up in person. Prince Loki?"

"Are you joking? How could I miss this?" Loki said.

"Listen, clean up this mess and then leave this planet." Carol Danvers said to Thor.

"What? No!" Thor refused outright, "I love it here, everyone loves me. We were having a blast until you showed up."

"The party's over, buddy." Carol Danvers said.

"Is that so?" Thor didn't take Carol Danvers' words seriously at all, "I have an idea, how about you get lost

Boom!

Carol Danvers was furious. She threw a punch that sent Thor flying.

"This isn't a request, heartthrob," Carol Danvers said with radiance emanating from her.

"Midgard has a term to describe women like you, a buzzkill!" Thor pointed at Carol Danvers, "That's right, I said it."

"Fine, this punch is for Fury." Carol Danvers landed and swung another punch at Thor's chin, launching him into the night sky.

"Now, the rest..."

Boom!

Carol Danvers' words weren't even finished when a hammer came flying, smashing into her.

"Take this hammer." Landing on the ground, Thor threw the hammer at Carol Danvers.

"Nice try, but you..." Carol Danvers slightly tilted her head to dodge the hammer. But before she could finish, the hammer was already flying back, hitting her at the back of her head.

"Boomerang hammer, get it?" Thor caught the hammer and proudly explained.

"Listen, buddy, I'll count to three. Put the hammer down." Carol Danvers pointed at Thor.

Whoooosh!

Thor laughed heartily and began to swing the hammer, causing a strong gust of wind that blew everyone around in all directions.

"Hey, what did I tell you? Stop!" Carol Danvers shouted.

Boom!

In response, a hammer struck.

Swoosh!

Thor's swing launched Carol Danvers into the night sky, all the way to England!

To knock someone from one country to another with a single hit, that kind of combat power was truly terrifying.

Carol Danvers landed in Stonehenge, nearly knocking over a massive stone. She quickly turned and set it upright.

Boom!

The next moment, Thor also landed, inside the Stonehenge.

"Hey, stop, these are..." Carol Danvers began, "I don't even know what these are, no one knows, but no, I said no! Stop!"

"But I just need to do this lightly..." Thor lightly tapped one of the stones with a finger. The stone toppled with a rumble, and like a cascade of dominoes, all the massive stones began to fall.

"Oh, no, you've knocked down your strange rocks." Thor said, somewhat cheekily.

Boom!

Carol Danvers got angry again and immediately delivered another punch, once again sending Thor soaring into the night sky.

Swoosh!

This time, before Thor could land, Carol Danvers herself shot up into the air. In mid-air, she caught up with Thor, and a flurry of punches ensued.

Boom!

This time, both of them landed in the desert.

"Party clown." Thor reached out his big hand, and the hammer flew back to him. He and Carol Danvers engaged in a back-and-forth battle.

[END OF CHAPTER]

Kapitel 251: Chapter 252: Captain America becomes DC's Superman!

Crack!

Mid-battle, Thor extended his hammer, summoning a massive bolt of lightning that struck Carol Danvers.

Thor thought that this bolt of lightning would be a game-changer, but to his surprise, Carol Danvers just stood there, unfazed. She didn't flinch or dodge, allowing the lightning to strike her without a scratch.

Thor was taken aback. More intense lightning surged around his hammer, but Carol Danvers remained nonchalant, even folding her arms leisurely.

"Wow, what's up with this woman? Why isn't the lightning affecting her?" Thor was astonished.

Boom!

Carol Danvers leaped high into the air and delivered a powerful punch that flipped Thor's hammer and created a large crater on the ground.

Then, with one hand, she grabbed a handful of Thor's flowing blonde hair and tossed him into the sky!

Carol Danvers followed suit, flying upwards to continue their battle in mid-air.

This time, both of them soared into the clouds, engaging in a fight above the ground. People on the ground witnessed thick bolts of lightning flashing within the clouds, a truly awe-inspiring sight.

Boom!

After battling in the sky for a while, Carol Danvers fell to the ground, lying there.

"Do you know what you need?" Thor placed his hammer on Carol Danvers.

"A strong drink and a two-week vacation in Hawaii," Carol Danvers attempted to get up, but the weight of the hammer pinned her down, making it impossible.

"You need a timeout," Thor said. "My mother used timeouts to punish me, but I never used them. Maybe they'll work on you, since you're the party pooper."

"Carol isn't a match for Thor?" Watching this, Nick Fury sounded surprised.

"Fury, why do you sound so shocked?" Thor replied, "Can't I defeat Captain Marvel? Is my strength really inferior to hers?"

"Thor, I've always believed that your strength is indeed inferior to Carol's," Nick Fury didn't sugarcoat it and directly stated that Thor was weaker.

"But you've seen it, I won," Thor argued.

"This battle alone doesn't prove anything," Steve Rogers chimed in. "Battles are fleeting and unpredictable. Sometimes even a single wrong breath can lead to defeat. One win or loss doesn't determine who's stronger."

"Thor, you've seen it, your lightning is useless against her," Loki ruthlessly dismantled Thor's argument.

"You make it sound like lightning is the only trick up my sleeve," Thor replied.

"But isn't lightning your most powerful move?" Loki retorted. "If you can't even overcome her immunity to lightning, how can you claim to be stronger?"

"Is being able to withstand lightning the only criterion for being stronger than me? Then insulators would be stronger than me," Thor said. "But what's up with Carol? She seems immune to lightning."

"Fury said you're the best, that one punch from you can withstand ten nuclear bombs." In the video, Maria Hill spoke to Carol Danvers, "Your cat can even swallow an entire battalion."

"If I go all out, I'd leave a massive crater on Earth. Taking down KK Frenzy Man isn't worth such a risk," Carol Danvers explained her failure.

"What about South Dakota?" Daisy Lewis suggested, "Or North Dakota?"

At that moment, Jane Foster received a call from Thor. "Jane, when can I see you again? You're the kindest and most beautiful woman from Midgard I've met."

"How many Earth women have you met?" Jane Foster asked.

"Two," Thor said, "But the other one threw a bridge at me, and boy, it hurt more than just my face."

"Thor, please be honest with me." Jane Foster chuckled at Thor's words and then asked, "Did you really destroy that planet at the last party on Alpha Centauri?"

"No, I didn't!" Thor denied, "That wasn't even a planet, at most, it was a meteor. And it was already burning up; we just gave it a little nudge."

"So, no one got hurt?" Jane Foster asked.

"Of course not, not even the little goat, Gary, who safely made it home," Thor said.

"I think I understand why Earth wants to use nuclear bombs against Thor. It's because he throws parties that destroy the Earth," Stephen Strange commented upon seeing this.

"What kind of joke is this? How could a party destroy the Earth?" Thor exclaimed.

"Didn't you hear what was said in the video just now? Your party on Alpha Centauri did destroy that planet," Stephen Strange said.

"I also said that the planet was already burning up," Thor replied.

"No, Thor, that's just your explanation, probably an attempt to defend yourself in front of a girl, not necessarily trustworthy," Tony Stark shook his head. "In the video, you showed no regard for Earth at all. With so many people on the streets, you swung your hammer around without hesitation and toppled the Stonehenge. I believe that subjectively, you didn't intend to destroy Earth, but your actions could very well lead to that consequence."

"And it's not just you coming to Earth; it's a whole bunch of aliens," Steve Rogers added. "Your destructive ability might be limited alone, but 'strength in numbers' applies here. With those aliens, it's possible to destroy Earth."

"Thor, I really can't understand why you've become such an egomaniac," Natasha Romanoff said. "The current you might be a bit narcissistic sometimes, but you're not as recklessly self-indulgent as before, not caring about the harm you cause others just for your own enjoyment. That version of you is truly a jerk."

"I think it might have something to do with Loki," Bruce Banner said.

"Big guy, you're trying to pin this on me?" Loki disavowed the blame, "In the video, Thor and I aren't brothers. I wasn't adopted by Odin, and you've seen it; I look like a Frost Giant."

"It's probably because Odin didn't adopt you that he only had one son, and that spoiled him," Bruce Banner said.

"I've been spoiled?" Thor shook his head, "This is too absurd."

"I actually think Bruce has a point; your behavior is that of a complete playboy, a wealthy young man," Steve Rogers said.

"That's a good idea." In the video, Maria Hill made a decision, "The Mojave Desert can withstand that level of attack."

"Lead him to Siberia and blow him up directly," Carol Danvers suggested.

"Are you guys serious?" Jane Foster quickly intervened, "We're not going to blow him up."

"We're talking about the fate of an entire planet." Maria Hill said.

"He's a bit clueless, that's for sure, and he's not the most likable version." Jane Foster said, "This plan is too radical; I won't let it happen."

"Thank you for your professional guidance, Dr. Foster, but we no longer need your assistance." Maria Hill directly threw Jane Foster and Daisy Lewis onto the street.

Meanwhile, Carol Danvers led Thor into a snowy expanse.

"Prepare the nuclear warhead." Maria Hill gave the order.

"What?" Phil Coulson was surprised, "I thought she was the warhead."

"To prevent her from getting distracted by a cat." Maria Hill started the countdown, "Countdown: five, four, three, two..."

"What about Captain Marvel?" Phil Coulson asked.

"She'll be fine." Maria Hill said, "One."

Then, her finger pressed the launch button.

In the snowy field, Carol Danvers and Thor were about to engage in battle.

"Thor, Prince of Asgard." Just as the situation was about to reach a climax, a figure of light and shadow suddenly appeared, "Odin's only son, what are you doing?"

"Mother!" Thor exclaimed.

This woman of light and shadow was Frigga, the Queen of Asgard.

"Mother?" Carol Danvers, Phil Coulson, Maria Hill, and the others were all surprised by Frigga's identity.

"What are you doing?" Thor asked, "You must have used a lot of dark magic to track my whereabouts."

"Someone came to see me; she's very worried about you," Frigga said.

"What?" Thor realized, "Did Jane betray me?"

"She said you're in Midgard," Frigga said.

"She got it wrong; I'm obviously studying in my study," Thor started to lie, but unfortunately, at that moment, a bear wandered over, let out a roar.

"Don't lie to your mother." Frigga said.

"You mean Earth, right? Sorry, I misunderstood," Thor continued to fabricate, "The locals call this place Earth, yes, that's right, I'm sorry. My apologies for the confusion. I and my study group are here for cultural exchange."

"Cultural exchange?"

"You know how we are, warriors craving knowledge."

"Really? Then I must see it with my own eyes." Frigga said, "I'll cut my trip short."

"You're coming here?" Thor was taken aback.

"My dear son, I hope that when I arrive, I'll see your full study plan." Frigga clapped her hands, and in a rainbow bridge of light, she disappeared.

"A rare opportunity, Hill." In the background, Crossbones reminded Maria Hill to launch the nuclear warhead.

"Stand down, we're done." Maria Hill said.

"We'll never have a chance to launch the nuclear warhead," Crossbones said regretfully.

The screen darkened, and the video ended there.

"It really was a close call. If Queen Frigga of Asgard had arrived a moment later, Thor would have been hit by a nuclear warhead," Tony Stark said. "I have to say, I'm quite disappointed."

"Disappointed?" Thor immediately responded, "If that nuclear warhead had actually been launched, I would be dead! Even though my body is far sturdier than an Earthling's, I still wouldn't withstand a nuclear blast."

"But Captain Marvel could." Steve Rogers said, "Hill isn't the least bit concerned that the warhead would harm Carol."

"To be able to withstand a nuclear warhead, this woman is extraordinary." Loki, who wasn't easily impressed, also acknowledged Captain Marvel's power.

"What about Fury?" Scott Lang asked, "From start to finish, Maria Hill was giving orders; where was Fury?"

"Perhaps in this parallel universe, let's call it Universe 11," Tony Stark said, "Maybe here, Nick Fury isn't the director of S.H.I.E.L.D., and Maria Hill is?"

"No, I think it's more likely that something happened to Fury, preventing him from fulfilling his role as director, so Maria Hill had to step in temporarily," Bruce Banner said.

"Why do you say that?" Thor asked.

"There isn't really substantial evidence, just that Carol mentioned at the beginning of her fight with you, 'This one's for Fury'," Bruce Banner told Thor. "Why would she be fighting you on Fury's behalf? Because you hurt Fury."

"Carol is an old friend of Fury's, but afterwards, all interactions with Carol were handled by Maria Hill. Fury never appeared throughout, which also speaks to this," Steve Rogers said, "If it was merely because Fury isn't the director, then he should be the one to receive Carol. But he didn't; Fury got hurt and couldn't show himself. That would make more sense."

[Question Ten Begins. Please be prepared.]

[Who did Captain America Steve Rogers choose as his successor?]

[A) Spider-Man Peter Parker]

[B) Hawkeye Clint Barton]

[C) Falcon Sam Wilson]

[D) Winter Soldier Bucky Barnes]

[Correct answer grants the ability to emit shockwaves from both eyes. Wrong answer deducts one year from lifespan.]

"Wow, emitting shockwaves from both eyes?" Tony Stark got excited at the sight of this reward, "Captain can already fly; if he gains this ability, wouldn't he become Superman from the comics?"

"Indeed, he might as well change his name to Clark," Stephen Strange said.

"I don't deserve it; the Superman in the comics is way more powerful than me," Steve Rogers said, "If he were around, villains like Thanos and Hela wouldn't be a challenge for him."

"Captain is already choosing a successor?" Natasha Romanoff looked at Steve Rogers and said, "Look at this Captain before us, in his prime and giving off the feeling that he could fight forever. And he's actually considering a successor?"

"In his prime?" Steve Rogers smiled, "Natasha, standing before you is a hundred-year-old man."

"Hundred years old is your age; your body is in its prime," Phil Coulson said.

"I've actually been wanting to ask, soldier, will you ever age?" Loki asked.

"Of course I will." Steve Rogers said, "Although I'm a super soldier, the serum just makes my body stronger; it doesn't grant me immortality. My aging might be slower than a normal person's, but in a few decades, I'll also have gray hair and wrinkles. A strong gust of wind might even knock me over."
