Black Widow and Momma Frakker's conversation in the café made it clear to everyone that Tony Stark's armor being taken by his friend was actually Tony Stark's own choice.

"Thor, couldn't you skip the part about peeing in the armor and just say good luck?" Tony Stark said helplessly.
"Now you understand the significance of these words," Thor retorted, "Who was the one who kept bringing up my incidents of being electrocuted and beaten by the Hulk?"
"Thor, now it's only you who keeps mentioning it!"
"Stark, I congratulate you on finding your beloved girl, and I wish you well, but I also have a threat for you," Thor walked proudly up to Tony Stark, "If you dare to mention my, uh, incidents of being electrocuted, uh, some of my incidents, I will tell Miss Potts about some things I've seen."
"Thor, what strange things are you talking about? I have absolutely no idea," Tony Stark looked completely confused, "What electricity? Are you talking about a movie? Which movie did you watch?"

"According to 'Thor's Law', once Thor is extremely certain about something, then that thing must be wrong," Tony Stark, in order to avoid choosing himself and not giving others a chance, answered directly, "Thor denies A, so I choose A, Thor, the God of Thunder!"
Thor immediately became furious, "Stark, you're slandering..."

Before Thor could finish his sentence, he was slapped hard by the answering space.
