Kapitel 97: Chapter 97

Spider-Tom wanted to snatch his phone back.

Mark swiftly evaded, shaking his head slightly.

However, Spider-Tom was worried about Aunt May's safety and persisted in trying to grab the phone.

Mark had no choice but to exchange a glance with MJ.

MJ understood and quickly hugged Spider-Tom. "Peter, we must first figure out the enemy's true intentions before we can find a way to save Aunt May."

The reminder from his girlfriend calmed Spider-Tom slightly. He stopped struggling and stared at Mark, his eyes filled with concern and pleading.

Mark nodded slightly, signaling him to relax, and continued to gather information. "Alright, alright. What do you want? But you need to explain things like the location and rules of this game, right?"

"Heh, you're an impatient one, aren't you? Well, listen carefully." The person on the other end chuckled sinisterly. "We are the Sinister Six, formed by supervillains from various universes! From now on, let's start the countdown. There are roughly six hours left. During this time, you are allowed to gather other so-called 'superheroes' to help you! But if by the stroke of midnight, you haven't arrived at our designated location, we will kill Spider-Man's dear aunt!"

'The Sinister Six!' Mark was slightly surprised.

The Sinister Six was indeed a classic nemesis of Spider-Man. However, there were various versions of this group.

Originally, this group was founded by Doctor Octopus.

After being defeated repeatedly by Spider-Man, Doctor Octopus realized that he was too weak to defeat Spider-Man on his own.

So, he contacted many supervillains who had clashed with Spider-Man in the past. Five of them answered his call, forming the original Sinister Six.

These six were: "Doctor Octopus" Otto Octavius, "Vulture" Adrian Toomes, "Mysterio" Quentin Beck, "Kraven the Hunter" Sergei Kravinoff, "Electro" Max Dillon, and "Sandman" William Baker.

Later, Kraven the Hunter committed suicide, and another supervillain called "Hobgoblin" joined the group.

Additionally, due to some issues, Sandman had a falling out with Doctor Octopus and was turned into glass by him.

So, Kraven the Hunter and Sandman were removed, and they were replaced by "Hobgoblin" and a space-faring creature named Gog, who had been raised by Kraven the Hunter before.

This was considered the second generation of the Sinister Six.

Furthermore, there have been other versions of the Sinister Six led by Doctor Octopus, including one with Chameleon, Electro, Rhino, Sandman, and Mysterio, among others.

But as far as Mark knew, all of these had appeared in the comic book world, which is the comic dimension.

So far, apart from himself, he hadn't encountered anyone who could travel back and forth between the movie dimension, the animated dimension, and the comic dimension.

If he considered his own reality dimension as Earth, then the movie dimension was like the Moon, and the animated dimension was like Mars. To go from Earth to the Moon was relatively simple, and with current technology, it could be achieved. However, going from Earth to Mars or from the Moon to Mars was much more challenging with current technology, especially with human presence. To go to Mars, you had to cross a massive technological barrier.

Traveling between these different dimensions was likely a similar challenge. The difficulty would be exponentially higher!

Mark could almost be certain that these guys came from various parallel universes within the movie dimension! However, it was somewhat difficult to determine which specific individuals they were.

First and foremost, they were definitely not the original version of the group.

Some of the supervillains related to Spider-Man in the live-action movies included:

Spider-Tobey – Green Goblin (Tobey Maguire's version), Doctor Octopus, Green Goblin (Andrew Garfield's version), First Venom (Topher Grace's version), Sandman.

Andrew Spider - The Lizard (Rhys Ifans), Rhino, Green Goblin (Dane Deehan's version), Electro (Jamie Foxx), Mr. Fiers (the person who talks to imprisoned Harry Osborn at the end of the second movie).

Spider-Tom - Vulture (Michael Keaton), Shocker #1, Shocker #2 (Vulture's henchmen with the gauntlets), Tinkerer (the overweight guy who always asks if he wants to make high-altitude toilets), Mysterio.

Of course, if we count the ones he encountered in the universe, we should also add Thanos and his minions.

Among them, Doctor Octopus and The Lizard have already been captured, and Electro has turned to their side, so these three can be excluded.

Venom and Tobey Spider's version of Venom are not the same, so they are still counted.

So, it's highly likely that the enemies that have appeared are six out of the remaining thirteen?

"How about it? You, who claim to be righteous, should dare to accept our challenge, right?" The voice interrupted Mark's thoughts again.

"Heh," Mark responded with a cold laugh. "Since it's like this, on behalf of our Justice League, we accept your challenge. Do you six clowns think you can defeat us just by joining forces? Ridiculous."

"Heh..." The other party responded with a sneer. "Then we'll wait and see. Oh, by the way, although I don't know how we came to this world, I guess that little Spider, as the native, should have a way to send us back. But! If he dares to make any moves before the final battle, we'll definitely kill his aunt before going back~"

"Despicable!"

"Shameless!"

"Low!"

The first two curses came from MJ and Ned, while the last one, well, it came from Venom.

Everyone looked at him with surprised expressions.

Eddie Brock shrugged. "What? Can't I curse at him?"

Mark rolled his eyes and decided not to pay attention to this guy, saying to the phone, "You haven't mentioned the location of the final battle yet."

"The location. It's this city!" The other party chuckled coldly and hung up the phone directly.

Watching the screen go black, Mark put down his phone.

He turned to Ned and said, "Ned, open the map of the whole city."

Ned was puzzled but quickly complied.

Mark squinted his eyes, and after a brief search on the map, he quickly locked onto a location.

"They're here!"

Mark drew a circle with his hand.

The Chrysler Building!

MJ asked, "How did you know they're here?"

Mark said, "I can't explain the specific details to you, but during the call just now, I followed their signal waves using the phone's signal and tracked their location."

MJ wanted to ask how he did the tracking since she didn't see Mark use any additional devices, just holding the phone. However, Mark didn't want to explain all that to her.

He certainly couldn't say that he just sent a portion of quantum through the phone signal and sensed it through the quantum connection between himself and his quantum self, right?

In fact, he could fully quantumize himself and send himself as a wave along the phone signal. But this required him to simulate an electromagnetic signal and had subtle differences from his native quantum state, which would consume quite a bit of energy.

Moreover, he didn't even know who the other side was. Going over there alone would be dangerous, especially if the other side had someone like Mysterio, a master of illusions. Despite Mysterio's limited combat abilities, his power to influence minds and senses was a real threat to a warrior like Spider-Man.

Too much trouble.

So, if the other side did have someone like Mysterio, Mark would definitely hammer him first!

"What should we do now?" Spider-Tom asked anxiously.

Aunt May was still in the hands of these villains, and he was the most worried one right now.

Mark said, "Do you know where Doctor Strange is resting right now? It's best to find him first."

"I'm not entirely sure," Spider-Tom shook his head, "Why are we looking for him? Oh right, we're looking for his help in dealing with them, aren't we?"

Mark nodded and then shook his head, "He may not necessarily help us. We're mainly looking for him to expedite finding the other two Spider-Men."

"Alright! I'll go find him!" Holland Spider was convinced that with the combined power of four Spider-Men, they could definitely defeat those enemies and save Aunt May. With that, he left the basement and headed towards the surface.

"Hey! How about we make a deal?" Eddie Brock shouted loudly.

Mark turned to him, waiting for him to continue.

Eddie Brock said, "You let us out and agree to let us roam in this world a bit longer as a condition. In exchange, we help you deal with one of them. How does that sound?"

"Not a good idea," Mark decisively refused. Compared to those guys, Venom was even more dangerous. The key point was that this guy wasn't a well-behaved character to begin with. No one knew what he would do once released. Just like in the original storyline, before being sent away from this world, didn't he leave behind a seemingly clone or offspring? This would be a disaster if allowed. He couldn't possibly do such a foolish thing.

"Tsk," Eddie Brock instantly transformed into Venom, full of sharp teeth, "Kid, you're really no fun."

"Thanks for the compliment, now please be quiet," Mark said.

Then, he turned around and said, "Next, we'll give up on finding the Green Goblin and Sandman; they most likely have already joined this so-called 'Sinister Six.' At the same time, we'll intensify our efforts to find the other two Spider-Men. If Doctor Strange won't help us, we'll have to rely on ourselves."

"Okay!" Ned and MJ both knew the significance of Aunt May to Holland Spider. She was not only his aunt but also his guardian and, more importantly, his foster mother! They would never want to see Holland Spider lose his loved one.

Next, Mark looked at Max, "Max, for the upcoming battles, we hope you can assist us."

Max nodded solemnly, "Of course, helping friends, I'm duty-bound to do so!"

Not long after, a light ring appeared in the basement, and Holland Spider and Doctor Strange walked out of it.

"Mr. Strange, please, you must help us find the other two Spider-Men. Please!" Holland Spider pleaded as he walked.

Doctor Strange, wearing a sleep mask on his head and yawning, asked, "Why are you looking for Spider-Men? The Spider-Men from other worlds probably aren't as troubled as you are. They should be fine. Let me rest, study a return spell, and they will naturally go back."

It seemed that Holland Spider hadn't had a chance to tell him about the Evil Six.

So, Mark approached him and said, "Dr. Strange, wake up, something significant in the multiverse is happening."

"Oh?" Doctor Strange was somewhat startled. He reached over and pulled a cup of coffee from a small portal, taking a sip. "What happened? Weren't you supposed to bring back the remaining two unruly guys first? Haven't found them yet? How did a multiverse crisis occur?"

Mark then explained the content of the recent phone call to him.

Doctor Strange paused, and his expression suddenly turned serious.

"So, at least six super villains from parallel universes have gathered together, intending to create a disaster that will sweep through the entire city?" he asked.

"Yes, that's why we need your help to find the other two Spider-Men," Mark replied.

"It's not that complicated," Doctor Strange shook his head, putting his half-drunk coffee back, "I can research the return spell right here and send them back. Give me half an hour."

"No, that won't work!" Spider-Tom quickly interjected. "They said that if we do that, they'll harm Aunt May before leaving."

Doctor Strange furrowed his brows, "But if we don't do it, what they plan to do next could affect the entire city and have a significant impact on the entire multiverse."

Now, even Spider-Tom fell silent.

On one hand was his beloved family member, and on the other hand, the entire city was at stake.

At this moment, Mark chuckled, "What entire city, what multiverse, I don't understand. If we can't even save our own family, what's the use of this power? Besides, those super villains are the ones causing destruction to this city, not us. What we need to consider now is how to defeat them and stop them from doing more harm before addressing anything else."

"Right!" Spider-Tom quickly sorted out his thoughts, clenching his fists. "I must defeat them and save Aunt May. So, Mr. Strange, you can't send them back early!"

Doctor Strange narrowed his eyes, "But my choice is the optimal solution. Your choice will disrupt the entire multiverse! This will affect the entire multiverse!"
