Kapitel 63: Lost battle

Ellie returned to the room only to find Enrique, a male servant, and Mary in there. There were two trays of food on the bed which used to belong to Layla, and all three eyes present in the room turned in her direction when she walked in.

"What exactly is your problem, Ellie? I'm doing all I can here to ensure nothing happens to you but you are bent on frustrating my efforts." Enrique complained, scowling.

"What have I done? How did I frustrate your efforts? If it's about the food, I really am not hungry anymore." Ellie informed him, then moved to her bed and plopped herself down.

"Would you rather die of starvation?" Enrique asked, and Ellie blinked multiple times.

"Is this you confessing that you want to poison me?" She asked back, directing her shocked, questioning gaze to him.
