Kapitel 470: Chapter 469 "School's Appearance"

Different from the atmosphere of academic exchanges with Nurmengard, coupled with the increase in the number of new students, the entire castle is filled with a joyful atmosphere because of the arrival of other schools.

The Quadwizard Tournament, a grand event between schools, is enough to keep boys and girls awake with excitement.

In the classroom, no one was paying attention to the classes. Everyone thought that students from Nurmengard, Beauxbatons, and Durmstrang were coming tonight. Even the Potions class ended half an hour early.

When the bell rang, all the students hurried back to the common room of their respective houses. They put down their bags and books, put on their newest robe, hurried through the corridors, and came to the main entrance.

Slowly, even under Hermione's words, Sean was the last student to arrive at the scene.

"Sean, I told you to hurry up," Hermione said dissatisfiedly.

Sean spread his hands, "It's not time for it yet, and it didn't say that the prefects are responsible for maintaining order."

As soon as the words fell, Professor McGonagall's voice sounded, "Prefects always maintain the order of the respective houses."

Hermione raised her brows at Sean in a demonstrative manner. Sean shrugged, walked across the crowd to the front, and ordered the Ravenclaw group. After a while, the students lined up. Professor McGonagall stood at the front and looked at her students with satisfaction.

She glanced at them and said, "Children, Hogwarts held a grand event with other schools in a moment. I hope you can always remember the manner of a Hogwarts student and don't let other schools look down on you, okay?"

"Okay."

"Very good," Professor McGonagall nodded with satisfaction, "Please follow me. The first-grade students are at the front. Prefects, continue to maintain order."

They walked down and stood in line in front of the castle. It was cold, and a white translucent moon hung over the Forbidden Forest. Sean stood beside the line, casually put his hands in his pockets, and looked at the sky and the Black Lake.

The lower grade students around were discussing in a low voice, "How do you think they'll come? By a train?"

"Probably not. After all, it's so far away. According to Hogwarts Express, it would take several months for them if it was by train."

"The broomstick? Or some kind of mount that can fly?"

"But it's so cold. If you ride a broomstick for so long, you'll freeze."

"That's right, I think it might be Apparation or a Portkey or something."

"However, teleportation magic is not allowed within the scope of Hogwarts. Even visitors from other schools must abide by this rule, right?"

"There may be giants in other schools. I heard from the seniors that when they went to Nurmengard for academic exchanges, they transformed a castle tower into a huge stone giant."

"Oh, that's so cool!"

Listening to the students' conversation, Sean smiled. At this moment, Dumbledore, who was standing in the back row with the other teachers, shouted.

"Ah, Beauxbatons have arrived, if I'm not mistaken."

Following Dumbledore's voice, the students immediately looked in all directions. Sean directly looked up at the sky.

Someone pointed at the sky, "There!"

A monstrous creature, much larger than a broomstick or a hundred broomsticks, was rushing across the sky toward the castle. It grew bigger and bigger.

They saw a huge blue carriage flying towards them and flew over the treetops of the Forbidden Forest. It was as big as a house, and it was drawn in the air by twelve winged horses, all silver-maned horses, and each of them was about the size of an elephant.

On the field that had been emptied long ago, Hagrid was holding two huge signs and waving them.

The carriage descended fast. The driver saw Hagrid, and the huge carriage moved towards Him. He dodged to the ground, stood up, and saw that the carriage had already landed safely.

On the door was the school badge of Beauxbatons, and there were two golden crossed wands with three stars emerging from each. The door was pushed open, and a boy in a light blue robe jumped out of the carriage, bent down, threw on the floor, and a golden spiral staircase appeared.

Stepping out of the carriage was a stunningly tall woman, taller than Hagrid even a little, and she was wearing a silver robe. Contrary to Sean's imagination, the principal of Beauxbatons had a rather good look, which was much better than Hagrid's ragged appearance.

Dumbledore started to applaud, and the students also clapped their hands. Many stood on tiptoes, trying to get a better look at the scene.

Her face showed a smile, and she held out a hand and walked toward Dumbledore. Although Dumbledore was also tall, he barely could match her.

"Madam Maxime," he said, "welcome to Hogwarts."

"Dumbledore," Madam Maxime said in a low voice, "I hope you are well."

"I'm fine now. I hope you and your students had a good trip."

"Thank you."

Madam Maxime stretched out her hand to move back. Sean looked over with her hand, and dozens of students walked down from the carriage one by one.

"It seems that there are many more students than I remembered." Sean thought silently.

The students who came down did not step forward without her order but stood silently on the carriage. They didn't wear robes, and the clothes on their bodies seemed to be all made of silk.

Madam Maxime spoke to Dumbledore again and finally mentioned that her twelve silver-maned horses drank only a single malt of whiskey. Dumbledore assured her that Hagrid would take care of those animals very well.

After getting a satisfactory answer, Madam Maxime waved her hand, and the group of Beauxbaton students came quietly and followed behind her. They walked towards the castle.

"Wow..." Someone let out a low exclamation.

In front of the line, two girls, one tall and one short, were worthy of this word. With a face like the most exquisite gemstone, impeccable facial features, and a delicate figure, the girl in the front was so beautiful that people couldn't turn their eyes away.

The shorter girl next to her is equally beautiful and indescribable.

Sean knew who it was, Fleur Delacour of Beauxbatons and her younger sister Gabrielle. The beauty inherited from her Veela mother made the sisters catch everyone's attention.

The silver-maned horses stamped restlessly. Not far away, a muffled rumbling and sucking sound, like a giant vacuum moving along the river bed.

"Something happened in the Black Lake!" A boy exclaimed.

The Black Lake, which had been as calm as a mirror, fluctuated violently. Huge splashes appeared on the surface of the water, and the waves crashed against the shore. Right in the middle of the lake, a big whirlpool appeared.

A mast poked out of the Black Lake.

Slowly and majestically, a ship rose out of the water, shining brightly in the moonlight. It was eerie, skeletal in appearance as if it were the wreck of a freshly salvaged ship, and misty lights that felt ghostly..

With a splash, the ship emerged fully, trying to stabilize on the water waves, and began to drive towards the shore. A moment later, they heard a splash as an anchor was thrown into the water.

A group of people walked across the board and onto the gravel road of Hogwarts. The students looked over curiously while applauding, and Dumbledore stepped forward to shake hands with a man at the front.

"Dumbledore!" The man was calling enthusiastically as he came up the shore, "My old friend, how are you?"

"I'm doing well, Professor Karkaroff," Dumbledore replied.

Karkaroff's voice was mellow. When he stepped into the light from the castle's main entrance, they saw that he was tall like Dumbledore, but his hair was short, and his goatee was not as long as Dumbledore's. Sean squinted his eyes at the principal of Durmstrang, a Death Eater who was now in close contact with the Returners.

Karkaroff greeted Dumbledore with a smile. He showed his yellow teeth, and the corners of his mouth were pulled at an extremely enthusiastic angle.

Just as Sean was looking at him, Karkaroff turned his eyes and saw Sean's eyes. Karkaroff didn't pause at all and looked away after he realized it.

Sean slightly shifted his gaze to the other Durmstrang students. Behind Karkaroff, a burly boy caused many students to shout.

"Hey, it's Krum!" Sean heard Ron scream.

"What? That Viktor Krum from the Bulgarian Quidditch national team? The world's number one Seeker?!"

More voices sounded, and no one even paid attention to the conversation between the two principals; all eyes were on Krum. Sean took a look at him and looked away at other students.

The number of students in Durmstrang is quite large, and at a rough look, there are more than sixty students. They looked resolute, with a feeling that made people want to retreat. Sean glanced at everyone. Among them, a boy with a cropped cut noticed Sean's gaze.

The boy grinned, showing his white teeth. Arrogant and ruthless, this was the boy's first impression of Sean. Immediately afterward, he saw the boy sticking out a thumbs up to him.

His provocative behavior made Sean smile slightly. The boy was standing behind Karkaroff and beside Krum. He seemed to be the second in command among the students.

Sean turned his head and stopped looking at him. He was waiting for the last school to appear. When Karkaroff and Dumbledore finished greeting each other, Durmstrang's students just had a face-to-face meeting with Hogwarts students.

There was a rumbling thunder. Without any warning, a torrential rain mixed with lightning suddenly poured down.

The strange thing is that the rain did not hit anyone present, as if there was a line separating the heavy rain. Amidst the rumbling thunder, in the distant sky, a dazzling flame flickered. The flames spread rapidly, the rain began to evaporate, and the thick water vapor broke into everyone's eyes like a fog covered in an instant.

The flame erupted violently, and the mist evaporated crazily. The students finally saw the scene behind the mist. It was a gigantic dragon, a dragon made of flame.

The dragon flapped its huge flame wings, completely evaporated the surrounding water, and let out a deafening roar. The students in the front row backed up several steps in fright, looking at the dragon in horror.

The dragon stepped on the ground, and a scorched smell emanated from the grass. In just an instant, the dragon disappeared in an instant. An old man stepped out of the flames.

 "Heh, Hogwarts. Finally." He laughed.
