I look at the professor doing something to the machine, and I can see the bridge above us move. I can hear people screaming above us, and I know that it is time to go.
"Are you done, professor?"
"Almost. Let me do one last touch, and… done. Oi! Destroy this machine. I don't want Godwin to be able to fix this machine."
I nod and look at the massive machine gear in front of me, and I release a massive stream of lightning. An explosion happens when my lightning hits the machine, and I see the machine fall to the ground one by one.
"We are done. Come on. We did not want Godwin to find us."
The others nod their heads, and I summon a large amount of water using my Flowing Rune. I gather all the water and create a water wall behind the door, then freeze it to create an ice wall. That should give us a good amount of time.
We run through the corridor of the revolving bridge and reach our boat. Logg and Lun make sure we can go, and when the preparation is ready, we get out of here. Unlike before, we go slowly for the first ten minutes to not gather attention from the soldier Godwin's place near the Revolving Bridge.
However, after the first ten minutes are gone, Logg goes full hog, and my companion and I need to fight the monster that is coming from the bottom of the river and the one from the land. Lucky for us, they are not too powerful and easy to deal with.
Not only that, Lu and Sorensen can fight. Sorensen is the one protecting the professor while Lu shoots down all the monsters, jumping out of the water using her revolving crossbow. Because Logg is going full speed, we arrived in Estrise in a matter of half an hour.
We get out of the boat, and the professor looks at me and says.
"With this, my job is done. Is there anything you want?"
I look at him and say.
"Please join our cause, professor."
The old man smiles a little and says.
"Ah, you've clearly recognized my technical prowess; not really a surprise, but I'm rather busy, hmmm? Ah, I have a solution, a perfect solution, Sorensen; I have something to tell you, hmmm?"
"Uh, what is, Professor?"
"Sorensen, go and work at the Loyalist Army; yes, that will work just fine. What a grand idea, hmmm?"
"What?! P-Professor... Does that mean I'm f-f-fired?!"
"Not at all, I'm far too busy; you go to my place to help the Loyalist Army and build mechanical devices for them, hmm?"
"You mean, like a representative of Professor Babbage's workshop?! Wow! Thank you, Professor! I'll put everything you've ever taught me to good use! I look forward to serving you, Sir Gerrald, and the prince!"
I nod and say.
"Go to raftfleet. They are closer to the Fortress near Lordlake. I think all the boatmen in the city should know about this."
"Of course! After I'm done with preparing, I will visit raftfleet!"
I nod and say.
"I will write you an introductory letter you can give to the guard."
"Of course, Sir Gerrald."
I nod and look at Professor Babbage and say.
"Thank you for helping us professor."
"Bah. Think nothing of it. Just take care of my first apprentice and think of it as my payment."
"Don't worry. We always take care of our people."
"Good."
After saying that, my companion gets back to the inn, where Logg decides to buy some booze, and Lun wants some food. I let them, and now our companion has a small party. While drinking his booze, Logg looks at me and says,
"So! Are we going to Lunas tomorrow?"
"Yes. That will not be a problem, right?"
"Nah. We are good. However, we need to set sail early in the morning. We need to depart from Lunas before it gets too dark."
"Huh? Why?"
Logg drinks his beer and says.
"The water around Lungs is dangerous. There are too many boulders under the water, and I need to focus on navigating around it. Raftfleet is about to clean that area, but with Godwin attacking, it gets delayed until the situation is cleared."
"Right. Five in the morning. How about that?"
"That should do, yes."
"Then let's depart at five in the morning."
I get up from my chair and say.
"I will go to bed early."
I leave the dining hall and arrive inside my room. I'm not tired, but I need to wake up early.

|3rd POV|
"Are you sure about this?"
Lucretia Merces looks at her information with surprise and concern on her face. The informant nods his head and says.
"Yes. There are a series of executions in the Northern part of the country. All of them are the nobles that are known for supporting Lord Barrows."
After hearing that word, Luserina Barrows looked at the informant with a fearful and shocked expression.
"How about my brother and father?!"
The informant looks at her with a small smile.
"Your father and brother are still alive, my lady. However, they are now never leaving the mansion because they are afraid that Godwin will kill them next."
Luserina released a sigh. She did not like her father trying to control the country by selling it out to other countries, but she also did not want him to die. He is still her father, after all.
While Luserina releases a sigh, Lucretia is in deep thought. She didn't know what Godwin's game was in this war. They need the support of other nobles, but by killing the noble that surrendered to them, they will not get an ally in this war and even make the other nobles get to the prince's side.
She did not know what their long game was.
However, she doesn't need to think about it because even the Godwin faction is confused with this action. Marscal Godwin, Lord of the Godwin Family, and Gizel Godwin, the Heir of the Godwin Family, are inside the room talking about the current event.
"This is a disaster."
Marscal looks at his son and his close subordinates, Dolph and Childerich. He looks at Dolph and says.
"How is the situation? Has the Nether Gate found the culprit behind this?"
Dolph, a young man with brown hair and eyes and wearing a blue steward outfit, looks at his lord and says.
"Sadly, we did not find the culprit, my lord. They are like ghosts, and they can disguise themselves as our people or at least make a very convincing outfit that looks like our outfit."
"Are you sure that this is the job of a group of assassins?"
"We are sure. They are too clean and too professional for it to be a lone job or performed by a mercenary."
That is the conclusion that the Nether Gate gets from what's happening. They will never believe that it was the job of one person, Mochizuki Chiyome. Using her ninjutsu technique, she can split her body into up to twenty clones and let them perform many kinds of jobs.
Most of the time, this technique is used as a distraction or a misdirection, but she can use it to spread rumors by disguising her clones and herself as Godwin's soldiers and higher-ups to kill the nobles. The only problem with this clone technique is that they are fragile and die with a good stab or punch.
All of this happened because of an order from one person, Gerrald. A man who is currently going around the northern and eastern parts of the country, getting as much profit as possible.
