Kapitel 40: Vigilante/ Spawn's war (2)
With his powers back Spawn kept swinging the reaper against both demons and angels. Many of them were sent back to their respective places until he came face to face with Asmodeus.
"A hellspawn. What makes you think you can defeat me?" asked Asmodeus.
"Don't know but atleast I can land a few hits before getting resurrected again." replied Spawn.
"Then try me." said Asmodeus as he used his giant sword to land a blow which was blocked by the Reaper but Spawn's hand felt impact of the blow.
Spawn kept receiving blows from the sword and he was put in defense as Asmodeus only used one hand to swing a sword while he used his claws to try and tear Spawn.
As Asmodeus thought he was about to win, "Transmutation" Spawn thought and turned his body into mass of photons and and traveled behind the back of Asmodeus with speed of light .
He used the Reaper to hit the shoulder of Asmodeus which did damage a bit but it was not enough.
Asmodeus immediately turned to attack Spawn but Spawn used his materialization ability to enhance the size of Reaper to the size of Asmodeus's sword and also performed Transmutation on his own body to grow to the size of Asmodeus temporarily.
Asmodeus conjured the hell fire in the empty hand and sent a wave of it to burn Spawn but Spawn used Phasing to let the fire pass through him.
Asmodeus roared and came at the gigantic Spawn with sword. Both of them battled each other delivering blows after blows.
"What happened? Difficulty defeating a spawn. How pathetic?" Spawn taunted Asmodeus.
"What a pathetic taunt? As if you aren't deplorable anough you ally yourself with an abomination." said Asmodeus as he slashed horizontally which put a scar on Spawn's chest portion.
"I guess the both me and him are compatible then because we don't care about the games played by Demons and Angels." replied as Spawn used the Reparer to slash the leg which caused demon blood to flow.
Asmodeus roared in pain. "Didn't I tell you that I would atleast land a few hits before I go." said Spawn.
"Bastard. When I sent both you and that abomination to hell I'll torture you both." said Asmodeus gritting his teeth.
"Someone's afraid of the abomination." said Spawn as he could clearly see Asmodeus afraid of Vigilante.
Asmodeus growled and used his clawns to tear Spawn off but Spawn became small again and usedh is shapeshifting ability to transform his claws into Appendages and fought back Asmodeus as they both began claw war.
On the other side...
Vigilante sent most of the angel bats and demon bats back to heaven and hell with only 300 of them remaining. Barbatos had enough of this and decided to take action himself.
He raised the hand and a beam of light appeared on Vishal but even after 5 minutes nothing happened.
"Trying to send me into a dream. How comedic can your powers get." mocked Vishal.
Barbatos decided to not hold back as he used size manipulation and turned gigantic and came at Vishal to crush him but Vishal used phasing to escape the attack and used chronokinesis which is angel's time manipulation to escape and punched Barbatos from behind causing the god to fall down.
Vishal stopped the chronokinesis and stood in air. Barbatos stood up and used the Law manipulation to alter the laws of physics in the area.
"Yeah. do whatever you want." said Vishal uninterestedly as he shapeshifted using magic as Barbatos.
"What?" Barbatos was suprised seeing himself before him.
"Get wrecked bat bastard. We only need one bat in Gotham." said Vishal as he came and tackled Barbatos. Barbatos fell backwards due to the impact.
Vishal's copies have brought down the number to 50 during this time.
"All hail system." praised Vishal in mind.
"Now you understand why I gave you certain tasks?" asked the system.
"Yes." replied Vishal without hesitation.
Barbatos created illusions of himself immediately.
"Pick the right one from the group." said VIshal as he used illusion magic to decipher the right one and sent an Omni beam causing a hole to form on the shoulder of Barbatos.
"What kind of God are you? I have wrecked you too many times." mocked Vigilante.
Barbatos used Life force absorption on Vishal. "Same old tricks." said Vishal he kicked the knee of Barbatos so hard that the god screamed.
"Nephalem bloodline mastery: 1.5%" came system's voice.
"How about Hell fire?" said Vishal after hearing the notification.
He used Hell fire on Barbatos and burned the body but he was able to recover some of his health.
"Alright enough games." said Vishal as he raised his hands to the side chains filled with angelic energy were about to come out when Vishal received a hit to his back and was thrown few feet in air.
When he looked back he saw a female angel wearing yellow armor and black masquerade mask with an angel helmet.
"Angela" shouted Spawn.
"Are the demons and angels out of your minds? What kind of shit are you pulling to put earth into danger?" asked Vishal growling.
"An abomination doesn't deserve answers." replied Angela.
Spawn with his agility appeared beside Vishal.
"This is an elaborate trap. Why are they wasting time on one Nephalem and one Hellspawn?" asked Vishal.
"Yes. Why do they want Barbatos to enter the earth when he has the power to destroy multiverses?" asked Spawn.
"I am starting to understand it now. It's not about Barbatos entering the earth. It's about not letting us go back to earth. Something's going on there and we would have been a headache to them." said Vigilante.
It has been 2 days since they started battling the the forces of heaven and hell along with a demon and Bat god.
Spawn used the cosmic awareness to see what's going on with earth. Even Vishal did the same using his Nephalem powers.
"Shit." both of them said it at the same time.
"Never expected the Amazonians to stoop so low." said Vishal as he clenched his fist.
"So, the angels and demons made a deal with Olmpus not to interefere to this atrocity?" asked Vigilante.
"Yep, Yep." said Angela.
"You should already know both sides like to play games against each other but since you've become an irritation in the eyes of both they want you out of picture for good." said Angela.
"Using wicked sorceress Circe's magic to create a spell and kill 50 % of male population including unborn babies and little children. What kind of sick game are you talking about?" shouted Vishal with irritation.
"System, did you know anything about this?" asked Vishal.
"No host. This was most unexpected because the civil war between two factions in Amazon led by Hippolyta and Antiope has reached a peak stage. Antiope opposed the present system of treating men as objects and that is why this war happened.
Hippolyta got mad and ordered to abduct Circe to launch a forbidden spell to wipe out half of male population in the world as a warning. The chances of it happening were only 1% but that 1 % happened." said the system.
"Okay, but what is deal brokered between Olympus and these guys?" asked Vishal.
"Insufficient authority. You need to upgrade me to Level 2." replied the system.
"Damn it. Just confirm this. Does it have anything to do with human souls?" asked Vishal.
"Yes." replied the system.
It confirmed everything to Vishal. "The human souls who died either go to heaven or hell. Depending on the number of souls they get god's wager with devil will be decided." thought Vishal.
"Presence. What the f*ck are you doing when you're kids are misbehaving?" thought Vishal.
"Hippolyta might not be the mastermind. There are powerful politicans behind her who is capable of such thinking." said Vishal.
"Agreed. Let's not waste time. We can deal with them later. Right now kicking these guys will help you relieve you of your raising anger." said Spawn.
"You're right. I'll make sure these guys experience pain." said Vishal as grey energy emitted from his body.
