Kapitel 26: Still Kept Some Sanity

"Boom!"

"Boom! Boom!" Were the sounds of meteorites crashing into the ground as Turnner and Toktio dodged them.

One of the Tragedy God's hands that were clasped below the woman's head pointed at them, and the mouth on the woman's head said, "Fatality.

Suddenly, in addition to the numerous asteroids hitting the city, missiles started appearing out of nowhere and targeting them.

Turnner jumped.

"Boom!"

A missile exploded below him. Then he ducked to dodge another missile. Milliseconds later, another missile appeared in front of him, so Turnner punched it, and it exploded. As he ran, he dogged many more asteroids and missiles until he and Tokito were running together.

As they closed in on the god, Tokito said, "Turnner I need to get close so I can use my ability and stun it. And at that moment, you can go straight for Mitch. Otherwise, God may just regenerate."

"Fine, I'll cover you." Turnner replied, then he jumped in front of Tokito and started punching missiles and asteroids that came their way.

In the distance, Mitch watched them from the safety of the Tragedy God's wings and said, Quick, they're closing in; do something! So the creature clasped all of its hands and spread out its wings, then the eyes on the heads opened, and all the mouths said something.

"Holy Abominat-"

The creature was sliced into seven horizontal slices and six vertical slices. Toktio also collapsed into pieces, seemingly saving one of his hearts. Turnner then darted at Mitch, who gnashed his teeth, unable to do anything. However, Turnner was stopped in midair.

Something had pierced his abdomen, and when he looked up, he saw the God fully regenerated. The god's hand now protruded out the back of Turnner, immobilizing him.

Mitch smiled but went numb when a knife slammed into his head. It seems that just before Tokito used his ability, he threw his knife at Mitch. Turnner smiled as the tragedy god began to degenerate. Soon its hand was no more, and Turnner fell to the ground. He walked up to a dying Mitch and looked down at him.

Now on his knees, Mitch said, "I thought long and hard about how you managed to survive the 10th tragedy, and then it occurred to me. I added a few conditions to this whole event. All those born in the months of November and August were exempted from the 10 tragedies."

"I was born in August," Turnner stated.

"Same here." Toktio shouted as he walked over to the two, occasionally staring at the god disappearing.

"Well, you won, Turnner. I guess you can drink to that."

Turnner got down to Mitches level, said, "I don't drink, and slapped him in the face, pitching him far in the distance.

Toktio opened his mouth wide and said, "Ok... Why'd he make that exception, though?"

"I don't know; I think his daughter was born in August and he was born in November."

"I thought you said he was crazy." Tokito asked as Turnner walked away.

"Yes, I did, and he is, but guess what? He's also human, so he's ought to keep some of his sanity.

3 days later

Noria sat at her desk reading and signing papers, and Trent watched her do it from another chair. Then Noria signed and dropped both her pen and paper, asking, "How are you feeling?

Trent was a little confused but replied, "Oh, um, I'm doing fine."

"That's good to hear, so you wanted to talk about something?"

"Right, with all the destruction that happened, will operations around here remain the same? "

"For the most part, yes, many of the agents just lost their homes, and luckily for us, the building wasn't damaged badly. So we've provided living spaces for our agents right here."

"And what about the director? Has he said anything about the destruction Turnner caused?"

"I think the government accepted that this might happen, but it's not the first anyway."

"True anyway, I think I'll be going see you at work tomorrow. Trent replied as he exited the room.

Amelia sat on a green couch in her living room in a purple braza and a purple panty. Toktio sat next to her. She poured some wine into the glass he was holding and some into hers, then rested the bottle on the coffee table. They both drank all in one go, then Toktio said, "If this is how it's going to be for next year, then I'd rather resign."

"You know you can't resign yet, Tokito."

"Thats true but you can."

"I know that, and as much as I hate Turnner, working at the agency gives me purpose. After I got rid of my father and took over this business, I lost my sense of direction. So Noria took me in, and I decided to adopt her name and work at the agency."

"What if we got married then and adopted children?"

"I told you I don't want to get married; why do you always think so far into the future?"

"Then what should we do?"

"Boom!"
