Kapitel 237: Chapter 237: Unscrupulous Merchants

The raging wind, wrapped in snowflakes, mercilessly pounded against the windows. The bone-chilling cold seeped into the room through the glass, but it was kept at bay by thick curtains. In the center of the dormitory, a large fireplace burned with bright blue flames.

Albert and his roommates sat around the fireplace, busy with their respective tasks.

"Does the Bafe Brain Tonic really make people smarter?" Fred examined the green potion. It was the Bafe Brain Tonic that Albert brought back, with enough dosage in the bottle for each person to take a small sip.

"The Bafe Brain Tonic indeed makes people smarter," Albert said without looking up. "Once you drink that stuff, getting an outstanding score in your written exams this year will be easy."

"Really?" Fred's eyes sparkled with excitement as he gazed at the Bafe Brain Tonic.

"Of course, it's true. I've already taken it, and the effect is really great," Albert paused and frowned. "However, the difficulty of brewing the Bafe Brain Tonic is very high, and collecting the ingredients is also quite troublesome."

"But didn't they say you can dilute the effect with water?" George snatched the potion from Fred and stared fixedly at the green liquid inside. He continued, "With Albert's expertise in magical potions, brewing the Bafe Brain Tonic shouldn't be too difficult, right?"

"It's very difficult!" Albert wasn't so conceited as to believe he could succeed on the first try, even with an experience bonus and skill upgrades.

Brewing any kind of magical potion required multiple attempts, and even a genius potion master couldn't guarantee success when brewing an unfamiliar potion for the first time.

"Don't worry about the flaws; just add more water to dilute it later," Lee Jordan reassured them.

"That's a good idea. Although the effect of the magical potion may not be as good as the original, it will still help make our minds more agile and achieve excellent results in the exams." Looking at the excited expressions of the three, they seemed to have more confidence in Albert's abilities than he did himself.

"Don't dream too much. Magical potions like this, do you think you can drink them every day?" Albert couldn't help but roll his eyes at the three. "Occasionally taking some is fine, but if you drink them every day and then run out of potion, you'll truly become a wreck."

"It can't be that exaggerated, right?"

"How about this: we use this bottle of Bafe Brain Tonic as the prize for the champion?" Fred suddenly suggested. "I believe Albert will be able to brew this potion in the future. Now, we need to let some students know that we have a special channel to get this potion that can make people smarter. The champion's reward is ten galleons, so we can set the price of this Bafe Brain Tonic at ten galleons."

"I suddenly realize that you also have the potential to be an unscrupulous merchant!" Albert looked at Fred up and down and said with a smile.

The raw materials for the Bafe Brain Tonic were indeed precious, and its brewing was challenging, making it equally expensive.

Although George's bottle of Bafe Brain Tonic could only last for a few hours at most, drinking it at a critical moment would help solve any written exam, which was quite cost-effective.

At least, with this thing, they wouldn't have to worry about failing exams and getting in trouble with the professors.

"This kind of potion will definitely be popular among fifth and seventh years," Fred continued, "I believe they would be willing to empty their pockets for a chance to get a high-grade transcript."

"That's assuming they have any galleons in their pockets," Albert said unkindly.

"They should have some savings," Lee Jordan explained.

"Fred, you've changed," George said with sorrow, "I didn't expect..."

"Having some galleons is actually not bad," Fred shrugged, "especially after seeing Albert. I suddenly realized that people really need to have galleons to live happily according to their own wishes."

"Are you planning to join the Ministry of Magic after graduation?" With that, Fred looked at his twin brother.

"Maybe it's better to have some galleons after all." George immediately wilted and nodded in agreement with Fred's words.

"Alright, although I think this matter is still a bit early..." Albert organized his thoughts and said, "When we come back after the Christmas holidays, I'll start trying to brew the Bafe Brain Tonic, and you guys can handle the selling part. As for the commission... for each bottle sold, you'll get one galleon." At this point, Albert paused and continued, "Or, we can save this money as the startup capital for opening a shop after graduation."

After all, Albert planned to open a specialized wizarding shop and had already thought about bringing a few of his roommates to start the business together.

"One galleon as commission for each bottle?" Fred and the others' eyes lit up instantly upon hearing this.

After all, Albert was responsible for brewing the potion, and he also paid for the ingredients. He took the risks himself. If they could get one galleon as commission for each bottle of Bafe Brain Tonic sold, it would be an incredible fortune for them.

However, when Albert mentioned opening a shop together after graduation, the three felt a bit puzzled. It seemed too distant for them at the moment.

"By then, I plan to open a Dark Magic Defense shop, specializing in selling protective items and books against dark magic," Albert continued, talking about his future plans. "Perhaps in the future, I could even become an Honorary Professor at Hogwarts."

"Dark Magic Defense Professor? You really dare to think about it?" The three couldn't help but want to mock him. They all knew that position was cursed, and whoever took it would be in trouble.

"We want to open a joke shop," the twins looked at each other and said in unison.

"And a specialized wizarding shop," Lee Jordan suggested.

"Yes, we can have our shops together in Diagon Alley," Albert nodded, "but let's talk about that later. Before that, we need a significant amount of galleons as startup capital."

"Perhaps we should come up with a catchy name for that shop in advance," Lee Jordan suddenly proposed, "how about 'Four Founders'? What do you think of that name?"

"Don't you think that name sounds odd?" Fred immediately retorted, "People who don't know will think our heads are huge!"

"There's no rush for this matter. We can talk about it later. Just don't forget to come up with a nice name for us when the time comes," Albert said, pulling the corners of his mouth, clearing his throat, and interrupting their argument. He refocused his attention on the Mandrake root he was drying in the sun.

"Are you planning to use this thing to make protective bracelets?" George put his newly completed wizarding card back in the box. The three had now started learning to design wizarding cards, helping Albert share the workload.

"Yes, after mature Mandrake roots are dried, they can be used to make various talismans that can effectively resist curses and dark magic," Albert explained. "As for the scraps shaved off, they can still be used to brew potions."

In fact, Albert had already tried several sets of Rune and wood materials, but the protective bracelets he made could only be considered average.

Today, Albert wasn't planning to make protective bracelets; he was attempting to create a special talisman. The object he was carving in front of him was a unicorn about the thickness of a thumb—a talisman that was both protective and cute.

It was a birthday gift for Isabelle.

Albert didn't know Isabelle's preferences, so he decided to go with a typical girl's taste.

"I think the protective bracelets you made before were already great," George had already set his sights on the protective bracelets Albert made.

"Even if you say that, I won't lend you one to play with," Albert suddenly said, causing Fred and Lee Jordan to burst into laughter.

"Your carving skills are getting better," Lee Jordan looked at the completed wooden carving and asked, "What is this, a horse?"

"Unicorn," Albert pointed to the horn and reminded.

"For your sister's Christmas gift?" Fred remembered that Albert had made a Hippogriff last year.

"Yes, birthday gift," Albert neither confirmed nor denied and started thinking about how much this talisman was worth in galleons.
