Davian walked in almost immediately Myne announced his visit. You could colour Silvia surprised. She didn't expect him to come see her.
"Bye Cia," she hanged up.
They both just stood and stared at each other as they fought within themselves. Myne was long gone.
"I just came to personally tell you that...I'm sorry. About yesterday," he broke the silence, still finding it hard for him to apologize without being at fault.
"Me too. I...apologize. For my wrong behaviors and for...slapping you. I really didn't mean to," she apologized as well.
"Sorry for calling you a-"
"It's okay," she cuts him off, not wanting to hear the word again.
"Well, I guess. I should take my leave then," he said. He glanced at her one more time, this was the first time he was seeing her on shirt and jeans. It suited her, what didn't suit this woman. As long as it was on her, it would look perfect.
He turned to leave, her lips parted to say something but nothing came out. She was finding it hard to say the words.
"Please stay," she finally said and he halted.
"For tonight. Have dinner with me? Take it as, part of my apology," she added. It was already six in the evening.
"No need for that, silv-"
"I insist," she interrupted him.
"Sorry, Silvia. But I already have plans," he lied. He didn't, he just doesn't want to stay.
"Oh, okay. Then..." she trailed off.
"Can you exercise with me tomorrow?" she requested. Tomorrow is a Saturday.
"It's just...people need to see us together often, so that they'll believe we're really in love you know. We need to do other things together aside from planning on our wedding," she used her usual tactics on him in order for him to agree. She couldn't just admit to herself already that she liked having him around.
"Okay," he agreed.
"I'll be here by 7AM tomorrow," he added.
"Okay," she replied and he began to walk away.
"Bye," she said inaudibly when he was almost out of sight.
***
Davian was at her place by 7AM as he had promised. He was wearing a black set of jogging jersey, the short sleeve top of the jersey cling to his hard chiseled chest, it was curved neck. He was also wearing a pair of black leggings and black sneakers which has a mixture of white on it.
She was already waiting for him, she was on a short sleeve top as well, it was curved neck and ash in color. Her hair was in a ponytail and she was wearing a pair of black joggers which hugged her legs, complimenting it with a pair of white sneakers.
"You're ready?" he asked as he dropped his one-handed bag on a chair, it contained his stuffs.
"Yeah," she responded.
They got out of the house, with just a small towel and water bottle in their hands.
"We're gonna jog to my gym," she said.
"All the way there? Can Silvia Reyes keep up?" he replied and she chuckled.
"It's not that far and-Yes, I can," she replied.
"Let's see," he said and started jogging, she followed suit.
"Not like it's a competition but...last to get to the gym is an ugly cow," Davian suggested.
"What?" she questioned.
"Try to keep up," he added and jogged faster than her. She tried to keep up with his pace but couldn't. He turned towards her jogging backwards then he chuckled sardonically at her before turning to jog forward.
She smirked at him and started running;
"Hey?! That's not part of it...running isn't allowed," he said and ran after her.
She chuckled and ran faster, she was a good runner but he soon caught up with her.
"You're going to burn up all your energy before we get to the gym, princess," he stated.
"We're already there," she said as she stops in front of a building, breathing heavily.
"Let's go in," she added.
They walked into the building;
"Good morning, Ms. Reyes," the manager of the gym greeted. Silvia nodded as a response to the man and she proceeded to the treadmills with Davian.
There were other people in the gym trying out various working out equipments. Silvia and Davian got on the treadmills and set its speed to average at first then they started working out on it.
Davian grinned at her as he resets his treadmill's speed to maximum and he began running on it. Challenged, Silvia did the same.
They got off it after some while and decided to try out the exercycles. They worked out with that for the next few minutes before they stopped.
"Here," Silvia handed him a can of energy soda she had bought from the gym's vending machine. He took it;
"Thanks," he snapped it open and drank from it. "Hmm," he sighed loudly feeling so refreshed from the cold soda.
She sat close to him on the bench as he wiped off his sweat with the towel.
"Are you tired?" she asked.
"No. You, princess?" he answered.
"Yeah," she admitted, she was famished.
"Well let me try out some weight lifts, then we'll go," he responded and she nodded.
He walked towards a weight lift and lied on the bench beneath it as he lifted it up and down onto his chest.
Devilishly, Silvia got off the bench and walked towards him. She placed her weight on the lift, her hand on her cheek as she smirks.
"Silvia?!" Davian responded.
She chuckled; "Is it heavy?"
"Yes," he replied but she didn't burge.
"Get off, Silvia," his face was turning red as he wasn't able to move the lift or put it back to its place.
She laughed; "Beg me,"
"Please," he pleaded.
"Please... please what?" she continued, tauntingly.
"Please Silvia, get off or I'll push it at you," he replied.
"Are you threatening me?" she said.
"No," he denoted.
"Hmm. Okay," she responded and finally got off. He placed it back and got off the bench, breathing heavily. She smiled.
This she-devil, she literally wants to kill him. He shook his head. "Having fun mocking me?" he said.
"Yes, but I wasn't mocking you," she replied.
"You think it's easy lifting the weight," he inquired.
"Hmm hmm," she responded lying on the bench. He smirked at her bravery. She attempted to lift it, she did lift it inches from its stance but not any further upwards. She bit her lower lip as she tries to push it upwards.
He chuckled; "You're stronger than I thought,"
She placed it back and sat up breathing heavily as well. He let out a laugh.
"But lift something your own size," he added picking up one of the smaller one hand lifts. She rolled her eyes standing up.
"Let's just go, I'm hungry," she responded and started walking towards the exit. He snickers and joins her.
They were out of the building and started jogging again. "Ouch!" Silvia yelped.
'Ouch, ouch, ouch not again,' she thought.
He turned towards her and held her arm.
"Are you alright?" he asked and she shook her head.
"Your ankle again?" he asked and she nodded.
"Hop on," he offered to carry her on his back.
She shook her head objecting.
"Just do it, Silvia," he insisted.
She reluctantly got on his back and he carried her in a piggy back style, her hands wrap around his neck. His scent with a mixture of his sweat wafted across her nose, she still likes it.
"Stop sniffing me," he said.
"What...I wasn't," she denied, embarrassed.
He chuckled and pushed her upwards on his back to make it more comfortable, his hands on her legs.
"Why..." he trails off.
"Why what?" she continued.
"If you don't mind me asking. Why...do you get these cramps at your ankle? I mean if it occurs frequently like this, I don't think it's normal or..." he trailed off again.
"Or what?" she replied.
"You are pretending so that I can carry you," he joked and she hits his chest. He chuckled.
"I'm not pretending, why'd I want you to carry me? I feel embarrassed as you're doing so," she informed.
"Okay, okay," he accepted.
"I...I was kidnapped when I was about sixteen," she confessed.
"Oh...sorry I asked. That must have been traumatizing for you," he replied.
"It's okay, it's been years now," she responded.
"Are you also traumatized by fire?" he asked.
"Yes. It was the reason why I had to jump off a building during my kidnap. I can't go through all the details, just know that the kidnap incidence led to me breaking a lot of bones from the fall.
"It's a wonder how I survived, but my right ankle wouldn't get better like the other bones no matter how many surgeries and therapies I have done on it, I guess it was greatly affected the most. Though its manageable now, it gives me these cramps occasionally," she explained.
"Why don't you get another surgery done on it?" he suggested.
"No, I don't wanna. It's really painful and it still wouldn't give you the desired results," she stated.
"Okay. I'll give your ankle a massage once we get to your house and freshen up," he offered.
"No, you don't have to," she objected.
"I insist. Please, just let me," he said.
She didn't know when her lips pulled up in a smile. She was already anticipating it.
