A few months had slipped away, and the unusual quartet found themselves wandering the chaotic alleyways of Meteor City, the place they've known as home since they came into existence. As they sauntered, they came upon a peculiar scene: two teens, one a towering brute, the other a swift swordsman, clashing with each other in the middle of the streets.
The brawny teen, was a mass of raw strength and aggression even in his younger years. He stood tall, his body already swelling with power and sculpted by the harsh living conditions in Meteor City. His eyes glowed with primal instinct, hair wild and unkempt. Each punch he threw sent shockwaves through the surrounding buildings, making the children scatter in fear.
The swordsman, on the other hand, moved with grace and a lethal elegance, slicing the air with his blade. But the damage of their battle was visible, the ruins of their fight scattering around the streets, terrifying the innocent bystanders.
Haruto watched the scene, his violet eyes narrowing, taking in the damage they were inflicting. His gaze shifted to the children, their wide eyes filled with horror and fear. A cold rage filled him. This was his city, his home, his people. He may not care for individuals, but the thought of his city being tarnished, his people living in fear, was unacceptable.
His voice echoed through the alleyway, steely and commanding, "Phinx, Feitan, enough." His eyes didn't leave the spectacle, his gaze challenging and unyielding.
Phinx, the muscular youth beside Haruto, exchanged a quick glance with the sharp-eyed Feitan, both reading the silent command in Haruto's stare. They rushed towards the fighting teens, not wasting a breath, their actions mirroring their respect and acknowledgment of Haruto's silent orders.
Canary, the smallest amongst them, stood beside Haruto, her small fists clenched tightly. She watched as Phinx and Feitan attempted to intercept the brawling teens. She wasn't afraid, not for herself, but for Haruto. She would do anything to protect him, a fierce loyalty that was as unyielding as the concrete they stood on.
The muscle-bound teen, Uvogin, roared as he threw another punch at Nobunaga, who responded by swiftly maneuvering his blade. As the fist connected with the sword, Phinx stepped in, catching Uvogin's punch effortlessly. The brute of a teen stared, surprised by the sudden interference.
"Hey, what's the big idea?" Uvogin demanded, trying to wrench his hand free from Phinx's grasp. But Phinx stood unyielding, a solid wall, his gaze steady and calm, and for the first time, Uvogin felt a twinge of uncertainty.
Feitan, on the other hand, had his own opponent to deal with. The swift swordsman, Nobunaga, was about to swing his blade once more when Feitan, lightning-quick, snatched the weapon from his grasp. The blade was trapped between two of Feitan's fingers, still as a statue, the swordsman's eyes widening in shock.
"You guys need to cool down," Phinx stated, his voice steady, his eyes not once leaving Uvogin's heated gaze.
Feitan merely glanced at the swordsman, a smirk playing on his lips. "Don't you have anything better to do?"
The challenge in Feitan's tone sparked something within the two teens, their frustration escalating into a raw display of power. Suddenly, the air around Uvogin and Nobunaga rippled with an unseen force, a pressure that filled the air and swept over the alleyways. The sensation was unworldly, strange, as if they had awakened something within themselves, an energy—Nen.
Seeing the impending escalation, Haruto's violet eyes narrowed further as he stepped forward, exuding an overwhelming aura that made the air quiver around him. Canary followed him, her determined gaze fixed on Haruto's back. She too was unyielding, her Nen rippling like an invisible cloak around her. Despite her small stature, her presence was as formidable as that of her companions.
The Nen flowing from Haruto was immense and intimidating, a relentless surge that felt like the rising tide before a devastating storm. Uvogin and Nobunaga faltered in their postures, their anger momentarily giving way to apprehension. However, both were headstrong, not willing to yield. Gritting their teeth, they turned their full attention to Haruto, their eyes flashing dangerously.
Haruto's gaze remained steady. "Phinx, Feitan," his voice was calm but carried an undeniable authority, "fall back. Protect the perimeter from the aftershock." With a silent nod, the two retreated, Phinx leaving Uvogin's punch hanging mid-air and Feitan releasing Nobunaga's sword, leaving the two teens to face Haruto alone.
The air grew tense as Haruto strode towards the duo. With each step, the tension tightened like a bowstring drawn to its limit. The anticipation was palpable. Haruto stood between Uvogin and Nobunaga, his violet gaze unblinking, a silent challenge. His aura, like a shield of unbreakable steel, exerted its influence, making the two teens feel as though they were mere minnows in the face of an encroaching tempest.
Uvogin roared, his fist cutting through the air with a force that could shatter concrete. Nobunaga moved simultaneously, his sword arcing in a swift, deadly trajectory towards Haruto. Yet, Haruto seemed unfazed. Like a dancer navigating through a storm, he stepped gracefully around their attacks, his movements exuding a deadly elegance. Each move he made was a step ahead, predicting their next attack before they even made it.
Nobunaga, in desperation, swung a mighty slash towards Haruto, only for him to sidestep effortlessly. The swordsman's attack hit nothing but air, his blade slicing through empty space, while Haruto remained untouched. Uvogin, equally desperate, lunged forward, attempting to land a punch. His fist sailed through the air, straight towards Haruto, who merely raised a hand, stopping Uvogin's punch mid-air, the shock of the stop sending tremors through Uvogin's arm.
Out of desperation, Uvogin let out a roar, a sound blast that surged forward like a tidal wave. It was potent, strong enough to level the surrounding buildings and harm the bystanders who were frozen in fear.
But Haruto was faster.
"Silence!" he commanded, a single word carrying the weight of his fury. The soundwave hit an invisible wall, absorbed into nothingness. Uvogin choked, his roar cut short, the silence hanging heavy in the air.
