Though Marcus was paying some attention to the conversation between Ava, and the other gentleman known as Alcyrst, his main focus still remained on the antsy looking guard before him. He could see that the guard had come to some type of realization or conclusion as the man was now reaching for his knife and slowly approaching Ava from behind.

Cyril, on the other hand, seemed far more engrossed in the conversation between Ava and Alcyrst than he was about the guard about to murder his family member, and the soon-to-be victim also seemed blissfully unaware of all of this as she continued to chat with Alcyrst without a care in the world.

That was when it happened.

The guard, who'd slowly and unassumingly been making his way towards Ava, had now come within a dozen meters of her and was already lunging at the woman with his knife.
