There was a knock on the door.

Miss Zhuang snapped angrily, "Get out! No one is allowed in!"

"It's me," said the Prince of Anjun.

"Brother?" Miss Zhuang stood up excitedly, but then sat back down in embarrassment and indignation, remembering the unease he had made her feel.

"I'm coming in," the Prince of Anjun said and, after waiting a little while, pushed the door open.

Miss Zhuang turned her back on him, showing only the back of her head.

The Prince of Anjun spoke softly, "You were the one who wanted to travel with me. I told you I wouldn't indulge you like our parents did, and you agreed."
