His hands shook with excitement as he considered his plan. It would be so easy.

But then, something stopped him.

The institute had placed it there for a reason. If he betrayed them, he'd be dead in seconds. No second chances.

He slowly convinced himself that he wasn't thinking of betraying the institute and that he wasn't harming them by taking away Huo Ning.

She wasn't their target in the first place.

The pain in his neck eased and Nova couldn't help but smile.

He forced himself to focus, though.

There would be time later to figure out how to handle Huo Ning. For now, he needed to regroup with the others.

They had found the zombie in the conference room, and it was time to meet up.
