Kapitel 278: Voice Of Reason

Da'kea's head snapped toward me at the sound of my voice. He froze, not moving a muscle like I was an Istar queen that had him in my eyesight.

"We will be leaving as soon as we have our stuff together," he said slowly as he started to back away toward the doors. "Just give us time to leave. Please, only a few clicks, and we will be gone."

That did it.

I tilted my head back and burst out crying in the most dramatic way possible. Seriously, I didn't think I had it in me to act like this. But my six mates who just promised me the world just dropped me the second I told them I was pregnant. Oh… and someone was cutting onions.

My body was practically convulsing with my tears, but I couldn't stop them. No matter how hard I tried to pull the back in and pretend that everything would be okay. I just needed this cry right now.
