Simon's Investigation
It all began with an unexpected video call, a rarity for Simon who typically reserved such means of communication for conversations with his girlfriend and family. Curiosity stirred within me when I noticed him, he hastily dismissing the call, offering one of his customary flimsy excuses. However, I remained unconvinced and felt compelled to inquire about the identity of the caller. With a mischievous glint in his eyes, he responded, "I won't disclose who it is."
At that moment, a tremendous question mark loomed in my mind, igniting the flames of my inquisitive nature. I couldn't let this intriguing mystery slip by undiscovered. With a playful tone, I probed further, asking Simon, "If you tell me who it is, will you perish?" His response, with a sly smile, sealed the deal: "I won't tell you because you already know her."
From that point on, my mind became a whirlwind of questions surrounding this mysterious girl. Who was she? Was she a fellow classmate? Did she reside in the same neighborhood? I found myself lost in a labyrinth of thoughts, realizing the significance of this revelation. Knowing Simon as a faithful guy who never entertained the notion of cheating and never spoke of any other girl besides his girlfriend, this discovery held tremendous weight. It might be the most fascinating occurrence I'd experienced during our five-month tenure as roommates. I couldn't simply let this opportunity slip away; I was determined to unravel the truth.
Motivated by this newfound mission, I devised a series of what I playfully referred to as "MINGILIZERS"—obvious cases to delve into.
Case 1: Seeking Clarification
Refusing to jump to conclusions, I decided to gather more information. I had a particular girl in mind, a friend of a mutual acquaintance named David. They seemed close, and I even assumed they were dating. To confirm my suspicions, I posed the question to Simon, "Is she David's girlfriend?"
I anticipated a straightforward yes or no response, but Simon's answer surprised me. With a touch of aggression, he denied any connection between the mystery girl and David, leaving me with even more uncertainty.
Case 2: Identity Revealed
Having extracted the truth from Simon regarding the mystery girl's identity—Trina, as suspected—I realized I was already acquainted with her. I had seen her on several occasions and knew what she looked like, knowledge that Simon shared. Nevertheless, he proceeded to show me adorable pictures of Trina, as if introducing her for the first time.
However, this revelation gave rise to a new set of questions. How did Simon obtain these pictures in the first place? Two possibilities emerged: Did he request them from Trina (option A), or did she willingly send them to him (option B)?
If we consider option A, based on my understanding, guys typically request a girl's picture either to show off to their friends or to admire it privately, blushing incessantly.
On the other hand, if we explore option B, it suggests that girls often send their pictures to guys they like. You might wonder why they would do so. Well, in a photograph, a girl presents her best self, bringing her desires for physical attributes—whether it's a perfectly shaped figure or luscious pink lips—to life. These pictures serve as a means for her to captivate the attention of the recipient, hoping to inspire fondness or, regrettably, lustful fantasies.
Case 3: The Curious Smile
Furthermore, Simon's enigmatic smile intrigued me. A sophisticated boy like him wouldn't flash that grin without a reason. Typically, he displayed laughter, anger, but never that smile. That smile had never popped up until then, so what could this be?
The short while we spoke he gave off the smile a lot at that point the big questions were;
