Kapitel 17: Awakening 6
This is the feeling of being in between the devil and the deep sea.
On her left hand stood a golden wolf with fire radiating its body. The soil underneath its feet burn as he slowly made his way toward meng xiao. It ferociously bared its fangs at meng xiao and his greedy eyes stare at her, as a predator would with prey.
And at meng xiao's right hand, a pure white snow wolf. Its body radiates a chilling feeling. The soil under its feet becomes covered by a thick layer of snow. It keeps a close eye on meng xiao as it slowly materializes a spear made of condensed water from the atmosphere which slowly turns ice blocks.
Meng Xiao taught, "Which would be more painful, dying by fire or by ice?"
"No, I can not die. And I will not" meng xiao said as she straighten her back and take a step forward. "Want to kill me? then dream on" meng xiao said as she get into an attacking posture.
Seeing her confidence, the wolf brothers became annoyed.
"Grrr... "
They both prepare to pounce on her at the same time from two different angles. They have good teamwork and perfect collaboration.
One would get her attention and the other would attack her when she is busy.
Meng Xiao has seen through their tricks faces pale. When did savage beast know how to collaborate? She expected them to get into a fight and then she would make her move when both sides are down. But now, not only did they not fight each other but they worked together to take her down. "Fighting one grade four magic beast is stressful and now there are two. The Heaven is not fair" meng xiao complained in her heart.
"Is it that after a week of coming to this world, I will die in the hands of a magic beast? Never. Anyone who tries to take my life I would retaliate by taking theirs first and these beasts are no exception"
Murderous intent burst out from her eyes.
"Ah!" A furious human roar, carrying with it a penetrative murderous aura tore from her throat"
When the sound came out, the steadily approaching beast step back. They could feel the murderous aura which surround her. Hesitation flashes in their eyes but when they see her weak and pitiful state they recover and pounce on her as they attack with their powers attacking with both fireballs and ice spears.
Meng Xiao's blue eyes burst out with a dangerous aura and under the attack of the wolf she holds her mirror and reflects their powers while avoiding their fangs and claws. The weak and powerless meng xiao turns to a murderer in an instant seeking to devour their soul.
She moves like a lightning bolt as if this feeble body has transformed into her previous one. Her body and soul become one and she attacks the wolf with the mirror and a sharp bone she picked up.
In the next minute, the blood of the wolves and humans intertwined and stained the floor.
Meng Xiao who looks like a goddess of death is bathed with the blood of the wolf and her own. Her previous wound from the fight with the snake worsens as a new deep wound appears but meng xiao who looks like she did not feel pain attacks with all her might.
The wolf sees that the close attack did not work, they both move back at the same time and combine their attacks into one. They want to end her quickly by overpowering her.
Meng Xiao quickly holds the mirror up, she knows that she can't handle this power with her body.
"Boom.. " the attack landed on the mirror and was absorbed by it. This surprised meng xiao, she didn't know that the mirror also have this function and a wicked smile surfaced on her lips. She have already made up her mind to kill that snake but she just did not have the power. But now the mirror can help store the powers of other magic beasts and she plans to use it on that snake.
"Come on keep going, hit me with your last bit of power" meng xiao roared like a maniac.
Seeing that this human did not die under their combined attack they continue sending wave after wave of their powers. They plan to wear her out and kill her in one fell swoop.
Meng Xiao who is ready for them continues absorbing their powers and storing them in the mirror.
The more the wolf attack, the weaker they become and meng xiao seize the perfect timing. Instead of defending she reflects part of the accumulated powers and launches it on the wolf.
The wolves who were not expecting the turn of events died a tragic death under their powers.
"(Ding host has completed a mission and received the ability of fast self-healing)" the emotionless voice sounded in her ears.
Meng Xiao who is weak drags her body to the dead wolf as she uses the bones to cut the head of the wolves and bring out their beast core.
the golden wolf, its beast core is small and red. It radiates heat and brim with energy and for the white snow wolf, it is white and contains a bone-chilling power. Meng Xiao stores them in her necklace.
"(Initiating fast self-healing)" Xu said as a blue light engulfed meng xiao and her wounds starts healing at the spread of light.
"Xiu, show me my status," she said as she sat down.
A blue light screen appears before her.
"(Showing host status)"

Back at the Meng family compound in the meeting hall.
Everyone was shocked. The live force of the duo elemental wolf brothers have vanished and the red light which represents meng xiao have turned blue.
"It must have been the mirror which help her" Meng Su taught inwardly.
"Damn that stupid mirror, how dare it save meng xiao again" Meng Xi taught inwardly as she grits her teeth. Anger and jealousy overtook her heart. "If only I found the mirror when I was awakening, I would not have been injured like that" Meng Xi taught inwardly.
No one knows that meng xiao almost died under the attack of the wolf.
