Kapitel 139: Regret and revenge

There is no such thing as mild betrayal. It cuts through me like a sharp knife when I realize who else was indirectly helping Simeon. They may not have been taking orders from him but perhaps it would have been better if they did. 

I was under the impression that Sasha was one of us but it seems I have way more internal affairs to deal with than I thought. 

As soon as I'm on my feet, Esteban intercepts me. "Will, calm down. Let's talk this through." 

What's there to talk about? 

"She broke the rules." I will not hear another word of it. 

"And so did Nico." He seethes, thinking that will make me be more forgiving towards Sasha. It's quite the contrary, really. 

If only one of them had gone behind my back, there may have been a tiny chance of them escaping unscathed. However, the last thing I wanted was people thinking they could get away with anything.
