Nico is unhappy when he finds out about the car.

He storms into my office. "So we are buying her gifts now? What are you, Santa Claus?"

It doesn't take a genius to know what he's talking about. I look up from my documents. "I'll buy her a fucking city if I want."

My answer pisses him off even more. What's he so angry about? I am not the one who spends entire days watching movies with her.

I think I know why he is so salty about it. Somewhere in between caring for her and befriending her, he may have mistakenly thought he could get together with her. I hope this reminds him who she really is. She is the one woman a De Santi can never be involved with. I know my brother would never have real feelings for her but no matter what infatuation is clouding his mind, not even a fling can happen.

I rearrange the paper on my desk to make him see I am busy. "Did you come here just to lecture me about how I want to spend my money?"
