Kapitel 45: Drake & Ben: Jack the Lowest Face Card

Seven years ago, Ben stood tall beside Drake. The dimly lit room was adorned with LEDs displaying maps and battle plans.

Ben, in his mid twenties, saluted the stern Chief of the Revolutionary Army, a man in his fifties with a commanding mustache.

"Ben Elswin reporting, sir!" Ben's salute was rigid, a display of youthful determination.

Drake, standing beside Ben, who was younger than him but more composed, offered a casual salute.

"Officer Elswin and Officer Cameron, I appreciate your service in Alabama," the Chief rumbled in his deep voice.

"It was our duty, sir," Ben replied earnestly, while Drake nodded in acknowledgment.

"You saved hundreds of innocents and earned yourselves a name. From now on, I'm rewarding you with your own command unit," the Chief declared, his gaze fixed on Drake.

Ben's face lit up with pride, but Drake's response was less enthusiastic. He gazed at the Chief with indifference.
