The room was filled with tension as Althea and Darian grappled with the shocking revelation. They sat there, two distinct individuals, yet inexorably connected by a mysterious link neither of them fully understood.

Darian clutched his chest, struggling to catch his breath, while Althea examined the situation with a mixture of curiosity and trepidation. As the minutes passed, Darian's pain gradually subsided, and he managed to stand on shaky legs.

Darian, his demeanor more composed now, sat down beside her and sighed. "I don't know, Althea. But what I do know is that if something happens to you, it affects me, and vice versa."

Althea pondered the implications. "So, I was seeing... my father?"
