"In the elevator, she said, "Are you okay?," breaking the ominous calm that had surrounded us for fourteen levels.

'I'm going out with some pals tonight,' she said when asked about her plans.

I replied, "That sounds like a good idea."

I said, "I know," feeling more at ease as we entered the comfortable world of business. "Again, what is the name of their assistant?" The one who always shows up.

She said, "Andrew."

I cast an unsure gaze at her. "That's a little more masculine than I expected," I thought.

She said, "They have a new assistant."

I had no idea how she was able to know it. "How did you learn?"

She grinned. He enquired about my attendance at the dinner as we were both seated next to each other at the keynote.
