Kapitel 8: Meaning of Hero

BREAKING NEWS

Reporter Lady : Yesterday, nomu outbreak happened in Hosu. Those things are really strong and uncontrollable. Heroes having hard time to fight those things. But 3 people fought them easily. Gran Torino, the retired hero who's came back to his actions. Endeavor, no.2 hero. And then Zen-Aku, vigilante wolf demon. Those three fought nomus easily. Endeavor even fight together with Zen-Aku. What a shocking news. I've never thought that prideful hero like Endeavor would fight together with vigilante like Zen-Aku, who defeate him in last fight. That's not all that happened in Hosu. When one of nomu kidnapped one of the intern student, the hero killer and Zen-Aku saved the student from nomu, together. Those are really unexpected partnerships. Also hero killer acknowledged Zen-Aku as a true hero. Stain said only All Might and Zen-Aku are the true heroes and only they could kill him. The student who saved was a boy called Izuku Midoriya, first year student of UA class 1A. He's the one who fought Todoroki Shoto, son of Endeavor in UA sports festival. The boy who didn't hesitated to break his bone. If I'm not wrong, Stain acknowledged him as a true hero too. The video of Stain's speech become popular in social medias and Stain and Zen-Aku have gained millions of fans yesterday. Is the end of hero society coming? What's Zen-Aku's next partner? All Might? Well, that's seems impossible. Unless...

In UA, Class 1A

The student group was formed near the green hair boy and talking about the events of Hosu

Kirishima : Stain acknowledge you as a true hero. You're awsome, broriya!

Midoriya : Broriya?

Uraraka : That's really cool, deku-kun!

Midoriya : Umm...thanks?

Kaminari : You're so cool, man!

Mina : You're amazing, Midoriya-kun!

Tokoyami : You're true yuusha!

Midoriya : Yuusha?

[Note - Yuusha & Eiyuu have same meanings, Hero. Yuusha means hero of the fantasy world. And Eiyuu means hero of the modern age]

Sato : You're amazing, Midoriya.

Aoyama : You're sparkling.

Midoriya : I......

Suddenly, the teacher came into the room and the class went quite. Sleepy teacher looked to the class and realized what was happening between the students

Aizawa : Lots of things have happened yesterday. I know you kids might have a lot of questions. Before I give you the answers, Iida, don't you have anything to say?

The blue hair boy stand up and bow down his head

Iida : I tried to avenge the hero killer by rage and nearly death. I've committed vigilantism. I've make a mistake that heroes shouldn't make.

The class except green hair boy and duel hair boy was shocked

Uraraka : You what???

Kirishima : Wait, is that why you're in the video?

Mineta : You went to fight hero killer alone???

Aizawa : Quite! So, have you learned your lesson?

Iida : Yes, I've learned in a hard way.

Aizawa : You know, you've make a really terrible mistake. You've committed the vigilantism while Zen-Aku was popular. People might think that you're one of Zen-Aku's followers. I would expel you, you know?

The class terrified by the words

Iida : I...I'm sorry, Aizawa-sensei.

The blue hair boy bow down lower

Aizawa : We all have anger toward someone. I understand that and I know how you felt, but you must control it. Vengeance isn't the thing that heroes should seek.

The class remained silent

Aizawa : I'll give you second chance, Iida. Don't make me regret my decision.

Iida : Thank you, Aizawa-sensei. I'll try my best to become the better student in the future.

Aizawa : Alright, you can sit.

Then, the sleepy teacher look to the class

Aizawa : Normally, I won't talk with the class like this. But things are changed. So, UA have to change too. Nezu make a new system. He want me to talk with the students while the vigilantes are popular in social medias. People might think that Stain was right, Zen-Aku was a true hero, and things like that. Some people think vigilantism was an answer. And I'll tell you this.

The class focusing and listening

Aizawa : Vigilantism isn't the answer. First, let's talk about true and fake thing. Some people have become a hero to fulfill their desires, but you can't call them fakes. Bacause meaning of hero was changed. For money? That's okay. To famous? That's okay too. Because being hero isn't voluntary service anymore. It become a job, a career. We live in super human society. Things have changed. You can became a official hero and you must help people to get salary. This is the meaning of being a hero. That's no such a thing a true hero in this era. What about fakes? True hero isn't exist but fakes did. What is fake? Cowards, who run away from the fight and abandon the people.

The prevent boy aware of himself and shocked

Aizawa : Abusers, who abused the civilian and the coworkers.

The duel hair boy clench his fists but his face was remained clam

Aizawa : Traitors, who worked as spy for the villains and the criminals.

One student shocked but showed no reactions on their face

Aizawa : And killers, who kill people for their own personal desires. Those are fake heroes. You can call them fakes and even criminals or villains. Because they're not hero anymore.

The blonde hair boy shocked. He remembered his actions upon his childhood friend. He've never thought that his actions make him villain instead of hero. By realising the mistakes, he look down to the ground and clench his fists angrily. The sleepy teacher noticed that but continued his talk

Aizawa : Stain was right that fake heroes exist. But he's wrong that only All Might was a true hero. All Might wasn't a volunteer, he's salary hero like every other heroes. People thought All Might was a true hero because he saved japan and become a symbol of peace. Yes, he was a great hero but All Might wasn't the only hero who've done their best to save the people and japan. There's other heroes who've tried their best but they're not popular like All Might. If you think that being no.1 would make you a true hero, then you don't know the real meaning of true hero. To be a hero, you don't have to fight super strong villain nor save thousands of people. You have only one thing to do, help other people.

Blonde boy shocked again. He've never thought that being hero is that simple

Aizawa : No personal feelings, but stain was just a foolish man. If he want to change the society, he should've become a politician instead of hero killer. People might thought that Stain was better than heroes. Let me say this, he wasn't better than any hero. In fact, he's not even a hero. He's just a killer who kill heroes by his own desires and calling them fakes. He don't know who is true and who is fake. He just kill any hero who isn't All Might. He have no codes. He tried to kill Iida who was still a kid. Don't say that "because Iida start fighting". His quirk make his targets paralyze. He could leave Iida alone, but he choose to kill Iida.

The class shocked. Sleepy teacher look to the green hair boy and look to the class again

Aizawa : You would ask me "isn't he saved Midoriya?". Yes, but he tried to kill Midoriya before saving him from nomu. People might said, Midoriya was a true hero because Stain saved him. Let me ask you this, did you really think that Midoriya have become a true hero just because of Stain saved him?

The class realized their mistakes and remained silent

Aizawa : Can't answer? Then, I'll change my question. Do you think that Midoriya would be a fake if Stain didn't saved him?

The class remained silent. They have no words to answer

Aizawa : Still can't answer? Then, I'll change my question again. Do you think that Ingenium was attacked because he was a fake?

The class terrified by the question. They know that the sleepy teacher know no mercy while teaching the students, but they've never thought he could be merciless like this

Aizawa : Just because of attacked by Stain didn't automatically make Ingenium a fake. And also, just because of saved by Stain didn't automatically make Midoriya a true hero. Stain is just a foolish criminal. He's not a great person nor even a hero. He want to change the world, but his brain was messed up.

Then, the sleepy teacher look to the class. Almost every students was looked down. Only duel hair boy stayed clam. Then, he continued his talk

Aizawa : Now, let's talk about Zen-Aku.

The class focused and listening again

Aizawa : He've killed thousand of villains in last 5 months. He didn't killed any hero even when he can. You can say, he's better version of Stain. But just because of he's better than Stain, doesn't mean he's great or good. He killed people easily and didn't hesitate a bit. He didn't afraid of any heroes nor laws. Do you have any idea what's that mean?

The class remained silent and looked to the sleepy teacher

Aizawa : Human life means nothing to him. He's trying to wipe out all of evils from this country. This might sound like a good intention but actually, it's not. He have no right to take human lives. Everyone make mistakes in their lives. And one mistake shouldn't deserve death sentence. That's why prisons exist. You might wonder, that heroes kill villains or not. The truth is, heroes have to kill sometimes too.

The sleepy teacher look to the class and saw some students shocked. Then, he continued

Aizawa : But only when they have no other choices. Killing is the last option for the heroes. Heroes kill villains only in these situations. Self defense, you have to kill nomus because they won't stop until they die. Threat of human race, you have to kill nomus because they're threats of humanity. You can't kill any villains nor criminals unless you're in these situations. Killing isn't easy thing. Even if you kill someone by having no other choice, you would regret for your whole life. Because humans shouldn't kill each other. If a hero killed a villain in normal fight, they won't be a hero anymore. They've become a murderer.

The blonde boy shocked again. He remembered a one time that he told his childhood friend to suicide. Then, he clench his fists by anger again

Aizawa : Zen-Aku killed thousand of villains and criminals. People would see him as a hero but he's not a hero. While he trying to end the evil, he have become an evil itself. A cleaner that become a dirt itself. He won't bring the peace like All Might've done in the past. Vengeance is the only thing he seek. Killing is the only thing he knew. He's living revenant. Those kind of people are really pitiful. They're suffering from the vengeance and couldn't stop their hands to kill. They've lost their souls. Those kind of people have no future. Only miserable fates awaiting for them. No one deserve those kind of ends. I really feel sorry of him. With his powers, he could be next symbol of peace if he choose the right way.

Then, the sleepy teacher look to the class. He saw the reactions he's expecting from his student. He's satisfied. Then, he continued again

Aizawa : If you want to be a hero, choose the right way and become a hero like All Might, a hero who protect the people and fight the evil in light. Never choose the way of vengeance. I really don't want to see another people like Zen-Aku. That's all I want to say.

Then, the sleepy teacher walked out from the room
