Kapitel 21: he’s a samurai?!?
After the duo got closer to the gate connected to a lengthy wall,the wall was tall and metallic,to the point that Kuki could see anything beyond it without the aid of his byakugan.
Isane went closer and knocked a few times in an odd rhythm as Kuki turned his head to the side in confusion.
But before the boy could say anything,the door started to open on its own which left Kuki speechless.
"Sound recognition,pretty sweet right?"Isane said in an annoying tone while lightly fist bumping Kuki's shoulders.
As they walked in,the door behind him closed,Kuki looked up ahead as his eyes widened.
"It's that a castle?!?"Kuki gasped out loud when he saw the small sized Japanese style castle in the middle of a vast field surrounded by small Japanese houses.
"That's my office and residence!"Isane said to the already shocked kid beside him,Kuki was utterly flabbergasted at his Uncle's wealth.
"So where would I live?"Kuki said as he looked at the samurai sparring in the training ground adjacent to Isane's castle.
"You're gonna live with me for the time being,I can't let a five year old live alone,even if he's a samurai you know?"Isane chuckled as Kuki's face grew into a pout,
They continued to chat as they moved towards the training grounds.
"Captain!"a man called out with a hoarse voice from the stands of the training ground's mini arena with two samurai clashing their swords.He stood up and walked towards Isane,not noticing the kid who was standing beside his captain.
"Oh!Mizoe!How's everyone?"Isane greeted his subordinate with a delighted smile.
"Although we're still down about the passing of Kazuki and Gotaku ... .we're training consistently"Mizoe said with a gloomy tone contrary to how he greeted his captain earlier.
As Mizoe looked up and down Isane to check his condition,he noticed a young boy with jet black hair,different colored eyes and cloth wrapping him from his neck to his nose.
"Captain…is this your long lost child?"Mizoe said as he tried to find the resemblance of the child and his captain and then whispered to himself before his captain could reply "Did you get tricked captain?You guys look nothing alike!"
Isane's brain short circuited for a moment as Kuki laughed subtly at his Uncle's subordinate's antics.
"No you idiot"Isane said in a helpless tone while facepalming.
"He's your new colleague "Isane said with a smirk.
"Huh?!?!Isn't he just a kid?You're telling me that he's a samurai?"Mizoe said with a shocked expression and then soon frowned after remembering that his captain added a eleven year old to their division last month.
"Don't worry Mizoe,I can vouch for his skills,if you're still unconvinced,let's have him and Hozuki spar"Isane added.
Hearing his name mentioned,a young boy with crimson colored hair,about 11 years old,walked out of the stands and stood beside Mizoe,facing Kuki.
"Captain Isane,You called?"The young boy said with clear admiration in his hyper voice.
"Hozuki,I want you to have a spar with our newest member"Isane said to Hozuki who is curiously looking at Kuki.
Suddenly,Hozuki extended his right hand towards Kuki "Hi,my name is Hozuki Uzumaki"he said with a bright smile comparable to Higeki's.
"I'm Kuki Urigaru,let's fight "Kuki replied as he reached out his hand to shake Hozuki's hanging hand.
