Blinking his eyes, the memories immediately swiped from his head like a vanishing mist, whilst returning the vampire back to the present. When his crimson eyes narrowed suspiciously at the rose in his hand, a petal, which was at the brink of falling, eventually dropped to the ground close to Duncan's feet.

"What the–?" Duncan murmured cryptically, still tranced from what he had seen, and he quickly dropped the rose back on the table.
