Kapitel 328: A dead woman walking

As Xander stepped out through the portal, it brought him back to the prayer hall inside Cynthia's shrine where the High Priestess was waiting with the other priestesses and a group of oracles.

"A Dreamwalker returns from the world of souls and a sleeping corpse awakes from its slumber. The natural laws have been flipped on their heads and the shrine of the Goddess defiled. How can a mere boy challenge the will of the deities?" the High Priestess spoke in a prophetic voice without directly addressing anyone.

Xander looked a bit puzzled by the whole scene, but everything became clear when the oracles moved aside, letting him have a look at the altar.

"Xander! What…what happened?" Leena asked, sitting up straight and looking at them in confusion. "We were fighting the cultists on Mount Orion…and then I don't remember anything," she said, a little nervously.
