Kapitel 216: Odd Behaviour

After putting Joey back to sleep, Tony took a quick shower and joined Marcella in the dining room. Although Marcella had a lot to ask him, she waited seeing his smile as he savored her cooking. 

"OH, I missed this so much, Birdie… The food was terrible. At times, we managed to get homecooked meals but nothing could get close to this…" he pointed at his plate. 

Marcella's face bloomed with a smile. She was glad she put the effort to cook the meal herself. She couldn't stand upright for a long time these days and her legs swelled, but she wanted to cook for him.

Worth it!

Tony had three helpings that night. Usually, he avoided eating a lot late at night, but he must have missed her cooking, he ate a lot. 

Marcella put away the plates and poured him a glass of beer. She had a feeling he would want to drink beer that night and she was right. 

"My sweet Birdie…" he pulled her into his embrace. 

Marcella leaned comfortably on his shoulder.
