King Liam didn't appreciate being disturbed when he was with Selena but when he heard the news Conley brought he couldn't sit still. He had to find the witch who was threatening his wife and kill her with his own hands.

He entered the grand hall, his cloak billowing behind him, his steps echoing off the marble floor. Conley followed closely, his demeanour ever attentive. The hall was lined with the king's guard, stalwart and vigilant, and amidst them stood a haggard, skinny figure, a prisoner brought before him. The sound of his heavy boots sounded in the hall as he walked towards his throne. Each step he took caused a tremor in the prisoner's heart making his body tremble involuntarily. Liam sat down and rubbed his lower lip with his index finger as though lost in thought.
