Julian handed Luna a handkerchief while watching the ongoing wedding ceremony unfold. She dabbed at her eyes, trying to compose herself, but the emotions were overwhelming.
"You look like the mother who's sending her son off to be married," Julian teased gently, his tone laced with affection.
Luna sniffed, looking up at him with a watery smile. "What can I say? I just suddenly teared up. I rarely cry because I'm happy, but right now…I just can't help it."
Her voice wavered as she spoke, and Julian's expression softened. He knew Luna wasn't one to cry easily, especially not out of joy. How many times had he seen her shed tears out of overwhelming grief, sadness, or frustration? But happiness? That was rare for her.
