74.1% Saving the Uchiha by Starting with the Destruction of the Leaf / Chapter 206: Chapter 206: Yin Seal and Natural Energy

Kapitel 206: Chapter 206: Yin Seal and Natural Energy

Just as many animals have the habit of hibernation, so too can humans store excess energy. For example, bears eat themselves plump, storing nourishment in their fat to sustain them during the cold winter months. Humans, though they don't hibernate, can similarly store surplus energy. For ninjas, this energy is chakra.

If one's life was divided into seasons, the Yin Seal's role would be to store energy during spring, summer, and fall, preparing for a time of scarcity. Thus, winter would be no concern.

After mastering the Yin Seal, the most significant change for Dan was his appetite returning. The energy he usually obtained from food was refined into chakra and stored within the diamond mark on his forehead. Over time, this not only granted him Tsunade's agelessness but also allowed him to use techniques such as "Creation Rebirth" and "Strength of a Hundred Seal" for self-rescue during critical moments. All in all, Dan was satisfied with the Yin Seal technique, a well-guarded secret of the Uzumaki clan.

Glancing beside him, he saw Samui, dressed in a semi-transparent silk nightgown, her face flushed, sleeping soundly. She must've been exhausted from last night's gentle fist training.

Without a sound, Dan left the cabin and emerged on the ship's deck. Dawn was breaking. The horizon showed a half sun rising from the sea, turning the waters orange-red, casting a warm and gentle glow. He activated his Mangekyō Sharingan and squinted towards the rising sun. Streams of sunlight flowed towards him, nourishing his eyes.

Dan soon realized that the essence absorbed by his Sharingan, whether sunlight or moonlight, was natural energy. This energy, birthed from the universe's elements, was omnipresent – in mountains, rivers, the earth, and even the air. Some beings, like the toads, snakes, and slugs from the three great lands, and the priestesses from the Ghost Country, had long lifespans and immense power due to their absorption of natural energy.

However, for humans, this energy was hard to detect. And even if one could sense it, absorbing it recklessly could lead to dire consequences such as madness, petrification, or organ mutation, all leading to death. But, the greater the risk, the greater the reward. If a ninja successfully combined natural energy with their chakra, creating Sage chakra, they could activate the so-called "Sage Mode". Jiraiya was a prime example of this.

Dan knew that to surpass the likes of the Sage of Six Paths, one needed to embark on a different path – that of Sage techniques. Techniques using natural energy could inflict irreparable damage to the Ten-Tails and its jinchūriki, countering foes of the Six Paths level. And absorbing natural energy could also enhance one's physical body, aligning with Dan's pursuit of ultimate strength.

There were two thresholds for Sage training. Firstly, the practitioner needed a vast amount of chakra, lest they be consumed by the immense natural energy. This was no problem for Dan. Secondly, one had to sense and then learn to absorb the natural energy. Although Dan had known of natural energy's existence, it was only recently, by a stroke of luck, that he felt its presence through the power of his Mangekyō Sharingan. The path ahead was long, but now there was hope.

As Dan was lost in thought, Tsunade emerged from the ship's cabin, her expression suggesting a restless night. Not due to the ship's rocking, but because of, "Could you two keep it down at night? Even through the walls, you kept me awake," she grumbled.

"I tried to be discreet," Dan replied nonchalantly, a hint of boastfulness in his tone.

Without wanting to dwell on the topic, Tsunade changed the subject, "Have you thought about how to deal with the alliance of the Five Great Shinobi Countries? You're not planning to take them on alone, are you?"

Based on her knowledge of Dan, he seemed like the type to confront the entire ninja world with sheer audacity. To her surprise, he responded, "The Five Great Shinobi Countries want the Uchiha clan, not me. Remember, I'm already 'dead'."

Tsunade pressed, "If you don't intervene, how will the Uchiha survive? You can't be heartless enough to watch them be massacred."

Dan smirked, "You seem more concerned about the Uchiha than I am." He paused before adding, "If my sister asks for help, I might consider aiding them."

"How? Where would they hide?" Tsunade questioned.

Dan simply raised his hand, revealing the Sharingan embedded in his palm. Just then, Shizune stepped out of the cabin. "Stay still," Dan commanded, aiming his Mangekyō Sharingan at her.

"Wha—"

Before Tsunade could react, Shizune was sucked into a space-time vortex and disappeared.

With big Eyes she looked at Dan and thought (likely Kakashi's, given it's distinctive shape): "You didn't... did you?"

Dan replied "Exactly. My Kamui's dimension is a perfect sanctuary, isn't it?"

Interrupting Tsunade, before she could respond, he aimed his Sharingan at her.

Tsunade's expression shifted, instinctively wanting to dodge, but she held her ground, fighting the urge.

Then, she felt the same sensation as Shizune, feeling the force of the dimension through Dan's Sharingan gaze.

Whoosh.

In the next moment, Tsunade was also pulled into Kamui's dimension.

Dizziness overwhelmed her. Her strength drained.

This was Tsunade's experience traveling through dimensions.

Losing balance, she landed on one knee.

However, shortly after...

Sizzle.

The Yin Seal on Tsunade's forehead began to glow, releasing chakra and rejuvenating her strength and clarity.

She saw Shizune lying unconscious nearby and quickly checked on her: "Shizune, are you okay?"

Dan appeared again.

"Her mental and physical resilience is nowhere near yours. That's why she couldn't withstand the pull of the dimension and passed out," he explained to Tsunade.

I see...

Tsunade felt a bit relieved and took the opportunity to observe the illusionary surroundings.

Is this Kamui's dimension?

Her first impression: Dark, vast, and desolate. Then, she noticed a log cabin in the distance.

"Did you build that?"

"It's quite spacious, right? Can easily accommodate over a hundred thousand, much more than the Leaf Village."

Dan observed.

Tsunade finally understood Dan's intention.

Is he planning to bring the entire Uchiha clan into Kamui's space?

It's a wild idea, but... it might work.

If the Uchiha clan takes refuge in Kamui's dimension, the Five Great Ninja Villages would be left stunned, powerless.

Yet, what would Uchiha Madara's reaction be when he finds so many "guests" in his home?

"Get us out of here quickly. This place is too creepy."

Tsunade snapped back to reality, clearly not wanting to stay.

"Fine."

Dan activated Kamui again, transporting her and Shizune out, treating the experience as mere practice.

Three days later.

After nearly half a month of sailing, the passenger ship reached a calm sea region, deep within the ocean.

They had arrived.

On the deck, Dan, Samui, Tsunade, Shizune, and Anko looked ahead to see a beautiful island with buildings and people moving about.

That's Paradise Island.

As the ship docked, Dan glanced at Tsunade.

Their agreement had concluded. As she wished, they could part ways.

However, Tsunade seemed to have forgotten and avoided Dan's gaze, asking Shizune to fetch their belongings, indicating she intended to disembark.

Looks like she's changed her mind.

Maybe she's tired of wandering, or curious about Paradise Island, or maybe she's grown attached to Dan and wants to exploit the safety of Kamui's space.

Regardless of the reason, Dan didn't care to probe.

As he put it, whether Tsunade stays or goes, it's her choice.

As they disembarked, the waiting Uchiha clan members greeted them.

"Dan!"

Mikoto was the first to approach, hugging Dan, "I'm so glad you're safe."

She had been worried about her brother.

"Dan, you're back."

Fugaku couldn't contain his excitement. Somehow, having this formidable brother-in-law around brought genuine comfort.

"Uncle." Itachi called out, seemingly having many questions for Dan.

Originally, he had wanted to return to the Leaf Village with Dan to avenge Shisui by defeating Danzo, but he was stopped.

What Itachi didn't expect was for Danzo to become the Fifth Hokage and thrive.

What happened?

Itachi couldn't understand why Dan didn't eliminate Danzo, allowing him to continue his tyranny.

Dan gave his nephew a look, signaling they'd talk later.

He then turned to other clan members: Tekka, Izumi, and Chiyoko.

Chiyoko looked nervous, avoiding Dan's gaze and mumbling to herself.

She's still the same.

After the recent battle, even though she had lost her mind and threatened to kill Dan, she realized her limitations after being overpowered.

Later, under the persistent persuasion of Fugaku and Mikoto, she calmed down, ensuring she wouldn't repeat past mistakes.

"Huh, what are you guys doing here?"

At that moment, Tsunade, standing beside Dan, was surprised to see Kakashi and Tenzo in the crowd.

The two approached, bowing:

"Lord Dan, Lady Tsunade."

"You both have done your duty, tracking the Uchiha clan. Sadly, you can't report back to the Leaf Village now, given the changes there."

Dan remarked teasingly.

Kakashi sighed and earnestly said:

"Lord Dan, we'd like to discuss something with you."

"Go on." Dan nodded, briefly parting from Fugaku and others, and joined Kakashi in a meeting room.

Inside, Kakashi and Danzo exchanged glances, then boldly declared:

"We wish to serve the Uchiha clan."

Oh?

"Why?" Dan asked calmly.

Kakashi sighed, explaining:

"The Leaf Village isn't what it used to be. We've heard about the fate of the ninja and villagers there. We want to do something for the village, but our power is limited..."

Both Kakashi and Tenzo, loyal to both Danzo and the Third Hokage, always prioritized protecting their comrades and the village. With the betrayal of the Leaf by both Danzo and the Third, they lost their loyalty to them.

Now, they believed Dan and the Uchiha clan were the only hope to overthrow the Four Great Ninja Villages, defeat Danzo, and reclaim the Leaf Village.

To save the Leaf Village, after much consideration, they decided to join the Uchiha clan against the Five Great Ninja Villages.

In the future, even if the Uchiha clan ruled the Leaf Village, it would be far better than the current colonized Leaf Village.

Only the Uchiha can save the Leaf.
