Alea lay curled up on her bed, her eyes red and puffy from crying. It felt like she had exhausted all her tears, unable to shed any more. Yet, her heart remained far from healed.

"Why did it have to be her?" she murmured, repeating the question for what felt like the umpteenth time. But there was no answer, just the silence that enveloped her. "Why her? Why?"

Her gaze fixed on the wall, but it was as if she was staring right through it, not really seeing anything at all.

In her mind, the memory of Erica giving Cian a blowjob played on an endless loop. Alea had been in love with Cian, so witnessing him allow Erica to pleasure him like that shattered her heart into a million pieces.
