Clarisa’s anger flared when she noticed Alec ignoring her, but she was powerless to confront him, knowing full well that she they were not in a place where it was proper to fight in between themselves at the moment.

Among the few who doubted Alec, Larisa strongly believed Alec’s strength was overstated, suspecting he merely coasted on the coattails of his formidable clansmen.

After all, he was the heir to the current patriarch and he had the power to do so, and many had not really witnessed him in combat so his battle powers was practically unknown.
