Lucas's heart broke.

He couldn't bear to see his Prince like this.

The subordinate turned around from the scene of his prince begging his grandfather to bring back the princess.

It was too heart-wrenching for him.

He couldn't take it anymore as he walked ahead to find her.

He should've known better. Everything looked too perfect to be true.

Why does happiness come at his Prince's door in disguise of a cloak full of sadness to hide and overshadow the little moment of joy? He worked his life for this throne, and now that it was finally his, he lost what he cared about the most.

And all of this was happening when it wasn't his fault entirely. They just made a plan that didn't work out properly.

Though it was true that his Prince planned all this, marrying Brooklyn was never in the picture.
