Prologue
In the year 3100, humanity had reached the peak of its technological advancement. We had achieved the capability to travel within our Galaxy but the universe still held a mystery that we couldn't solve. We couldn't escape our own galaxy, as if there was a force preventing us from doing so.
However, everything changed when a disaster struck Earth. Portals suddenly began to appear, and monsters emerged from them, invading our world and other planets in our solar system. Our technology and advanced weaponry proved useless against these creatures, and after almost five years of battle, the population of humanity had dropped to 20%.
But hope was not lost. Superhumans began to appear, their bodies emanating a blue aura, giving them the strength to take down the monsters. With their arrival, humanity finally started to counterattack in the year 3105. We adapted to their power, which we called magic power, and after 50 years of fighting, we integrated this power into our technology. And another 50 years later, in the year 3205, we had finally reclaimed our other planets in the solar system.
However, not all was peaceful. A new social class, the scavengers, had emerged. They were born out of the new government's need to hire people to reclaim planets and start colonizing and terraforming them. Jin, our protagonist, was one of them. He was an orphan, his parents died in the war against the monsters. Now, he spends his days scrounging for scraps and shelter on the outskirts of the galaxy, never daring to hope for something better. Until one day, he discovers a strange glowing object that changes everything.
