Primo eventually loses his sense of identity after stealing people's identities and becoming a wicked villain. The more people he victimized, the more he went further from Alexander Cafre's miserable and pathetic life. Ultimately, he thought he had forgotten everything Alexander Cafre carried. 

Stealing people's identities and not caring about the world around him "healed" him. Or rather, it made him survive the dangers lurking in his mind. Crazy as it sounded, but losing his own identity saved him. 

Despite that, even though he forced his mind to forget everything about Alexander Cafre or Greg Garner, there was a name he would never forget even if he became No One.
