Jacob's heart was broken, feeling lifeless. He had lost two people dear to him and lost the will to live. "You said she would make it, but she died," he accused Robin.
Sabrina switched off the LED screen and left the living room. Her heart was already heavy, and Jacob's behavior made it worse.
She had hoped that Laura would return for Jacob to settle down and have a family, but her hopes equally crashed.
Robin thought about what he had just seen and heard over and over again. The deeper he thought about it, the greater the certainty in his heart that things were not as they seemed.
"I don't think so. Laura is smart. The report shows that she killed Julius, so how could she be caught in her own fire? It's impossible," Robin raged.
For a moment, Jacob was stunned as he stared at Robin. "How do you know her so well?" He asked, feeling jealous of the fact that Robin might know Laura better than him.
