Kapitel 22: Prince in shinning amour

Mia focused on him, unshed tears glittering in her eyes. Her arms hurt from how hard he was gripping them. She bit her lower lip until it drew blood into her mouth. She wasn't going to cry in front of this monster. A hand slowly peeled Jack's hand from her arm, making Mia dart her gaze to the stranger.

She was hit with relief at the sight of the stranger who had saved her. Mia had never thought she would be that happy to see a stranger, but any face was welcome as long as it wasn't Jack's or Beth's.

"Can't you see you are hurting a patient?" Declan glared at Jack.

Finally, Jack released her hand. She let out a breath and dropped onto the bed, taking in deep air.

Jack raised a brow. "And who are you?"

Jack kept quiet. How was he supposed to introduce himself? Hello, dick. I'm your wife's savior. I was coming to pick up my nephew at the hospital and decided to say hello to the woman I saved, only to hear noises from her room.
