Yang Chen watched quietly as Liu Mingyu cried, burying her face in the tabletop. In the noisy bar, this scene was not unusual.

In the city, people faced pressures in their lives and often needed an outlet to vent. Yang Chen couldn't help but wonder why Liu Mingyu was crying so intensely. She remained there, even as two sets of customers changed at the neighboring table.

"Mingyu, it's getting late. Should I take you home?" Yang Chen inquired, knowing that he needed to return home as well. He had recently improved his relationship with Lin Ruoxi, and he didn't want to stay out all night.

Liu Mingyu finally raised her head, her eyes red and swollen, and forced a faint smile. "Have one more drink," she slurred.

After saying this, Liu Mingyu poured herself another glass of whiskey. She quickly downed it and, with some effort, stood up, grabbed her bag, and said, "Let's go."
