When Yang Chen parted ways with Mo Qianni, it was almost ten o'clock at night. Despite the late hour, he couldn't forget what had happened earlier that morning. It was thanks to Lin Ruoxi finding Lawyer Zhang that he was able to leave the police station unscathed. It didn't sit well with him that he hadn't expressed his gratitude or explained the situation to Lin Ruoxi. He knew she might not want to listen, but he still felt the need to meet her.

So, after retrieving his car, Yang Chen drove alone to the hospital.

As he approached the entrance of Lin Ruoxi's ward, Yang Chen's steps came to a halt. To his surprise, he saw two men in jackets standing guard. Instinctively, he could tell they were from a military background by their posture and vigilant gaze.

Who were these people guarding the ward? And why did they have military personnel stationed outside?
