"Whose side are you on then?" I asked, my mouth hanging open.

"Do you know he had a platter. A platter full of treats was waiting for me. So, I think my stance in this is clear. I will be with whoever brings me more treats." he replied without an ounce of shame.

"Do you not know the concept of loyalty?" I asked abashed by him. How can he leave me at a time like this?

"i do. I am loyal to myself." he said, closing his eyes, purring softly as the warm rays of sun warmed him, huffing in anger I sat down. I remind myself that he is a cat I can't hold him accountable for his actions.
