Kapitel 133: What Your Heart Desire

"I didn't know what you were talking about?" he asked softly, rubbing her cheeks, and smiling. "Do I look like a womanizer who would play with your heart to take revenge on Cassian? I feel hurt that you think so low of me." 

"Ha! You are trying on the wrong person. I know what is in your mind, Nicholas." She looked away, taking her hands back from his grip.

"That always made me wonder, why do you think that you know about me? I am sure you have never met me before. We have only come to know about each other recently." She looked away and bent to pick up the small bottle from the bed.

He stared at her calm face. She didn't look nervous at all as if she did not care whether he loved her or not. No! It was like she knew he could not love her. 

As if she had known him all her life and read him like an open book. It was rather infuriating that she could judge all his actions.
